For the ones of you are not following, or simply forgot, we got 3 new releases today, december 2d, in Japan:
-Card Captor Sakura Clear Cards arc volume 1: regular and special editions
-Tsubasa Illustration Chronicle
-Tsubasa Caracter Chronicle

All 3 are of the exact same dimensions as you can see, which is a disappointement for the artbook...

Today, Animate announced the releases, on April 22d, 2017, of these 4 deadly adorable pink and green Sakura and Syaoran bears: the little 12cm version of Sakura and Syaoran for 1080jpy each (which is actually a re-release, their first release was in April 2016), and two 30cm Sakura and Syaoran bears for 4104jpy each, those are new. We can argue though, that similar bears (but slightly smaller, and not exactly the same appearance) were once prizes in the CCS Animate Lottery.

The pre-orders already started, and ends on December 18th, 2016. Careful though, their stocks are limited, so the pre-orders might end before that date.

I sure hope that they will release a bigger artbook for ccs clear card arc.

Haven't receive my copy of the mini artbook yet.
So is it worth buying? Acconding to clamp's blog entry, it also contains colored manga.

Well, is it worth buying?
My opinion is that the original works of the authors are always worth buying, above any and every goods that could be released out there! :)

There are no color pages in the manga volumes, the color pages in the magazines are obviously a lot bigger (A4) but covered in texts, and there is clearly no plan at the moment to release a bigger artbook of Tsubasa...
To put it simply, as frustrating as it is that the dimensions are so little, this is still the only way to get those artworks ^^;

Personally, I decided to consider it as a complement of the mangas, more than an artbook per se: there were no color pages in the mangas, so we got an extra volume with them, that's it!


As for CCS, I am not worried at all: there are so many illustrations that were not printed these past few years, plus add to it all the artworks that are being released with every chapter each month (chapter color page + occasional cover + nakayoshi magazine gifts *chibis*), and we are guaranteed to get a pretty big fancy artbook in the future! :D

I am afraid you might have been confused by the comment: it's not a CCS mini artbook: it's a Tsubasa World Chronicle mini artbook! It's called "Tsubasa ILLuSTRaTION CHRoNiCLE" :)

I personally already ordered the special edition, but won't receive it until the end of the month ^^
The book itself for the regular and the special editions is the exact same thing: the only difference between the 2 versions is the goods that are attached to the special edition.

Now! If you specifically ask about the obi strip, this is something I honestly do not know: this obi strip doesn't come with any artwork on it though, only text, as you can see on this entry by a fan who took photos of her special edition: LINK (http://meimi-haneoka.tumblr.com/post/154075436278)

Hi again, I asked chibiyuuto about it, and he says that "Yes they both have obi strips but they have slight different contents. The special edition is more focused on the mangaka set and the regular edition is more focused on “new series! Tv anime! Special edition available too!” Etc.. I think you compare both if you search for CCS in japanese on instagram"
