Nakayoshi February 2017 issue (release date: december 29th) in which is published the 8th chapter of the new Clear Cards arc of CCS, included as an appendix something that many of you must know about since it's been very popular lately: colouring for adults. Well, not sure about the 'adults' part since this is a manga drawing gifted in a teenager magazine hahaha~
They also included 7 pens.

The illustration is actually the full version of the cover of the January 2017 issue of Nakayoshi:

It's really nice to see the full version of the artwork, even in black and white, since the Nakayoshi's covers are always full of texts and pics, so appreciating CLAMP's artworks underneath it all is complicated to say the least ^^;

CLAMP is finally on instagram @clamp_4_official (yes, there's a misspelling)... (update: LOL, they fixed the misspelling)

On the February 2017 issue of Young Ace (release date: december 31st), the magazine in which Drug And Drop is published (allow me to laugh here...), we got a cover in which all the mangakas participated (for the 100th anniversary of the magazine), CLAMP included: so you can see a new little illustration of D&D on the very top (Kazahaya alone).
It also seems like there is a QUO card, but it's unclear to me whether it is a gift included in the magazine, or if it something you must apply for.

xxxHOLiC fans from Kyoto Shiki...looks like they are sold out already.

CCS hairpins and bracelets from Aerl....

..and Sakura book for preorder.

Well, this is unexpected: I honestly didn't think we would get Fye and Kurogane ^_^
Ultimately, the covers of caracter and story chronicle complement each other: it would be nice to have the full group illustration inside, as a mini poster!

I remind you that Tsubasa SToRy CHRoNiCLE will be released on December 31st in Japan~

This is the CLAMP Q&A which was published in the newly released Tsubasa Caracter Chronicle.

That's a very interesting interview, which I definitely recommend you to read, right HERE.

BIG THANKS to Panicle for her translation and for sharing this with the fandom! :D

The jewelry and accessory company, wargo nippon, now has a line of Cardcaptor Sakura accessories. They previously released xxxHOLiC-themed items of which a few are still available on the website. Check out their website for more information.

Tsubasa Illustration Chronicle was released a few days ago in Japan, on December 2d.
It was presented as a 'mini artbook', with exact the same dimensions as the manga volumes and 68 pages.
It doesn't have a dust cover and the only new artwork is the cover of the book.

********************************************************************

Well, my opinion is simple and clear: I do not consider this as an artbook per se, but more like as a complement to the manga volumes > as you know, the tankubons do not have any color pages inside, so I think of this book as an extra volume with all the illustrations we would have liked to see inside the manga.
And as such, it's pretty nice to own, I'm really happy to own it :)

********************************************************************

The TWC illustrations inside are:
-3 covers of the manga volumes
-2 covers of the bluray included in the special edition of vol 1 & 2
-1 cover of the case of the PlayButton included in the special edition of vol 3
-4 covers of the Shounen Magazine Special issues in which TWC was published
-1 illustration of a clearfile given as a gift with an issue of shounen magazine special
-12 color splashes for the chapters themselves.
For a total of 23 illustrations of the Tsubasa World Chronicle series, as announced.

Now, what is to say about the illustrations from TRC?
Pretty much nothing, to be honest... They chose random artworks from the TRC series: some are covers from the Deluxe edition, some are covers from the regular edition, some are color pages from the chapters etc... all in all, those are all known pictures that were already all compiled in the 2 artbooks released years ago.

What actually pleased me, surprisingly, were the black and white chibis we got in the very last pages: chibis of the characters as waiters, original drawings of chibis used to make keychains/photo frame which were sold last year, and the little chibis that are actually the cover of a tumbler that could be won if you participated to a game included in one of the shounen magazine special.

I think there were preorder ticket sales back in October, but this is general sales. (whatever the difference may be). This is the xxxHOLiC stage event featuring the anime seiyuu.

For the ones of you are not following, or simply forgot, we got 3 new releases today, december 2d, in Japan:
-Card Captor Sakura Clear Cards arc volume 1: regular and special editions
-Tsubasa Illustration Chronicle
-Tsubasa Caracter Chronicle

All 3 are of the exact same dimensions as you can see, which is a disappointement for the artbook...

Where to order them? (for international fans)

Today, Animate announced the releases, on April 22d, 2017, of these 4 deadly adorable pink and green Sakura and Syaoran bears: the little 12cm version of Sakura and Syaoran for 1080jpy each (which is actually a re-release, their first release was in April 2016), and two 30cm Sakura and Syaoran bears for 4104jpy each, those are new. We can argue though, that similar bears (but slightly smaller, and not exactly the same appearance) were once prizes in the CCS Animate Lottery.

The pre-orders already started, and ends on December 18th, 2016. Careful though, their stocks are limited, so the pre-orders might end before that date.

[identity profile] cutesherry.livejournal.com

The whole set of stickers is sold for 240jpy (1.99usd) and can be used in the LINE app.
Unfortunately, this seems to be reserved to Japan only. It's interesting to see there are many others anime/manga stickers sets available worldwide though. But as far as I know, not many people use LINE to communicate outside of Asia...?

"Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection" takes place several years after "Zero Requiem" plan

Sunrise announced at the Code Geass 10th Anniversary event on Sunday (November 27th) that the franchise is getting its "next project" as well as a three-part compilation anime film series. Below is the visual announcing the next project:

The next project is a sequel titled Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection), but the announcement did not reveal the format of the project. The story takes place several years after Lelouch's "Zero Requiem" plan. Sunday's event featured a teaser promotional video with Kallen, Jeremiah, Suzaku Kururugi, and other characters. The staff also stated [Spoilers, highlight to read: Lelouch himself from the previous anime, and not an alternate dimension version or clone, will be in the new project.]

The three-part film series will recap all 50 episodes of the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion series and the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 sequel series. The cast are re-recording all their lines for the films, and the films will include new scenes. The first film will open in 2017.

Fans who had received tickets and an invitation to Sunday's "Kiseki no Anniversary" event decoded a possible secret code within the invitation that read "Rebirth of the Demon." Bandai's Anime Channel service will stream the event in Japan starting on December 23 at noon, followed by a DVD and Blu-ray Disc release on April 21, 2017. The home video release will include a digest video of the event's stage performance, a picture drama that debuted at the event, a new Fukkatsu! Kiseki no Baba Gekijō short, and the promotional video that announced the new project. Below is the package art by character designer Takahiro Kimura:

The upcoming January issue of Nakayoshi magazine will announce that the “new anime project” for Card Captor Sakura is a new TV Series of Clear Card arc to be premiered in January 2018 with similar cast and staff as the original Anime!

The TV Series will be produced by Madhouse and directed by Morio Asaka — same animation studio and director as the original anime! No word yet on whether CLAMP’s Nanase Ohkawa will be writing scripts for it, but let’s hope so!

Moreover, the cast for Sakura, Kero, Syaoran, Yukito and Touya is the same as the original TV Anime as well!:

The TV Series is to be aired on NHK channel.

Well, that's what I call good news, and first thing in the morning at that (well, for me)!!! :D
They pretty much gave us all we wanted: MADHOUSE, the same seiyuus and even the same director! I will let you imagine how difficult it is to meet all this conditions all at once, considering that the previous series ended 16 years ago!!

The series revolves around kabuki, a classic style of Japanese dance-drama that combines music, drama, and dance. Kurogo Kurusu, a 15-year-old high school student has a passion for kabuki and hopes to establish a kabuki club at school. Things are not easy as they seem when he realizes that he needs to find students to join him.

It will be aired in April 2017 in Japan, and CLAMP was revealed today to be the ones in charge of the character design.
