I had already seen on their schedule that there would only be a chapter left, but I didn't realize it was a 'hiatus', I just though that they either temporarily paused for a few weeks for TRC to either catch up or simply starts, or that they didn't update said schedule ^^;

And yes! Sailor Moon is starting this monday! :D (and I read yesterday that they were re broadcasting CCS on TV in Japan, so the fans got 2 legendary magical girls to watch this summer hahaha~ For CCS, it's old episodes though of course...)

Tsubasa WORLD chronicles...it's so simple yet so fine, it fits surprisingly well, and we can safely assume we will be getting more than a few chapters if they went as far as making a new title and everything~

But what does "nirai kanai" means?
Even when I tried to pass it through an online translator, it came out as the same thing...on google, I ended up in wikipedia, which says that "Nirai Kanai is the mythical place from which all life originates. It is worshipped facing eastward, and is fabled to be an island. Gods from Nirai Kanai are said to have brought different crops and tools to the Ryukyuan people at different times.
"Nirai Kanai" is referred to in the Irosetsuden as the underwater realm of the Dragon or Sea King."
It's either that ot an Okinawan restaurant (considering how much Clamp eats and like posting photos of food on their tweeter, this is scarily an actual option...) or a fictional place in Rahxephon (just not happening...)

Prepare yourself, it's a long one. So we got the official title, Tsubasa WoRLD CHRoNiCLE Nirai kanai-hen. Which I read is supposed to translate into something like The island of the Gods. Now this makes me a little sad. Since the title pretty much is telling me that, dude, it’s just a short thing that’s connected to xxxHolic Rei, don’t get too excited, it will be over in a flash. But hey, they can do a continuation and just call it Tsubasa WoRLD CHRoNiCLE though I'm not holding my breath.

The title doens’t really tell us THAT much but we can pretty much assume that the group is traveling dimensions and end up on this island where they have to solve some stuff, probably fight someone and they will need help from Watanuki and that’s the thing about the phone calls and the collecting of things and blah blah blah. What I’m saying is that I have a feeling that it’s Syaoran that’s been communicating with Watanuki through these phones we’ve been seeing in xxxHolic Rei.

Since we are only getting a short adventure with the group I’m guessing we won’t be seeing conclusions to any of the major things in the manga such as the clones, Fei Wang Reed and the vampire twins. I am of course only assuming at this point… soooooo, let’s hope I’m wrong.(Though I’m probably right) Also I’m guessing everybody and their mother thinks that Fei Wang Reed might have been created from Clow….or is connected to Watanuki in some way. But we never got any closure there.

Now on to even more minor stuff that no one but I will care about. As I think some of you might now I like the costumes from the last chapter that we’ve also seen in the Kobato episode that they appeared in and the artwork for the mini. We have seen the group in so many different outfits in the manga but I’m thinking that they’re going to stick to these for the mini which kinda makes me happy, even if CLAMP can’t seem to keep Syaoran’s clothes consistent. For some reason CLAMP made Kurogane’s clothes white and dark blue instead of his normal red that one might expect. Though they did make Mokona’s clothes white and red so that’s probably why Kurogane didn’t get that treatment.

Another little nerdy thought I had is if Syaoran will use his Jian sword or if he will be using Hien, as we can assume that he is in possesion of both swords.

hahaha we had completely opposite reaction to the title: when seeing "tsubasa world chronicles", I thought they would make a whole new series about them traveling through countless worlds, but reading your comment, I realize I didn't take the 2nd title seriously enough...on the other hand, I don't think it will be 'short' either no matter what: the way they explained it in xxxholic, it feels like the whole 3 volumes of Rei were all about getting items for Syaoran's wish, and it even went on hiatus for the only purpose of getting TWC to catch up, this seems to be something big enough to expect far more than a few chapters I think.
