Card Captor Sakura - Rings

After all the goodies that have been released, I've started to think we were at the end, I mean, what was there left to make?
We already got mugs, can badges, many figures, dolls, necklaces, kyarapetas, stationery of all kind with clearfiles/notebooks/pens/eraser/ruler/pencil case/band folder etc., pass case, stickers, bookmarks, plush toys, many kero plush keychains, postcards, miniature weapons (of both wands), trading cards, several character sleeve collections, gashapon keychains, towels, nailart sets, a wooden music box, dress stickers, a rubber straps collection, a 2014 desktop calendar and even 3 new artbooks!
But that wasn't the end, now we've got a collection of rings! It will be released on July 31th, 2014 and cost 5400jpy

This is definitely not gold, 5400jpy is the price of all 10 rings, which means they ultimately cost 540jpy each = 3.9eur = 5.3usd.
I believe the quality is good enough of course not to waste away or rust easily, but that's it.

At first I thought it would be the kind of thing that would be shelved somewhere if bought...but looking more closely at them, some are surprisingly wearable in real life: the ones with stars, ribbons, wings, or the unrecognizable ones unless you're a fan like Syaoran's hat or Spinel's thing too.

yes, some of them are super wearable :) they're discreet enough to daily use but there's always the exciting possibility that another fan may recognise it... I love the idea of wearing anime/manga subtle accesories that nobody else but a fan could catch ^---^

I look at that list and I'm just like... that's a lot of new CCS items, and I love it.

I'd also like to throw out there that FuRyu is releasing a new "Cherry version" of the Cardcaptor Sakura figure they recently released. It will be out in September. So far from the prototype image it just looks like a different colored variant! I tried posting a link, but my comment got eaten as spam. ^^;

Thanks for the news :) It might only be a change of color, but maybe some fans missed the chance to order/preorder it and would take this 2d opportunity offered to them to purchase it this time around~

Well, that's just me googling around ^^;

From what I read in the spanish forum and see myself, there are indeed small changes, like the outer packaging (said by a poster in the forum and also written in the description of the item of the online shop), the cards too: in the april 2014 version, the cards were The Jump and The Move I think? While in this September 2014 version we got The Sweet and The Dash it seems? The magic circle bellow here is also pink instead of black.
Needless to say, it's not enough to purchase it again unless you don't already own the first version ^^;

And my heart very much like the flood of CCS goods too, but my finances are literally in the red, not to say black at this point ;_;

Yep! I actually missed it the first time, but because it's being released in the same month as the Nendoroid and some other things I have on order, I have to pass again. :( I have to watch my finances too. @.@ I do like the small changes they've made to the newer one. I hope people go for it if they don't have the first version. :)

Yes, I've seen them too :) Pretty expensive thought D: But even thought it's far from the original price in Japan, when you consider shipping and handling costs (and taxes?) they have to pay to get them themselves and also their gain, it's not that insane of a price...

If you're interested, the rings are sold at http://www.movic.jp/shop/ and http://www.animate-onlineshop.jp/

But these two online stores are limited to Japan residents, meaning you would have to use a proxy buyer to get them for you.
Between the original cost of the rings, the proxy buyer's fees and the shipping cost to your country, you'll have to calculate and see which is better between this and getting them from ebay!
From experience, I can tell you that rings+proxy buyer's fees would be around 80usd, than expect a 20usd (or more? but rings are super light though...but they might take space depending on how their packaging is?) for EMS shipping, so this would be 100usd, sure and certain.

No problem~ While writing, it actually felt like I was talking to myself when calculating prices hahaha~
I'm overwhelmed by CCS goodies and have to chose what to get or not, it's frustrating when you're a fan and want it all, but I just don't have the money for everything, impossible!!
