Sakura Kinomoto nendoroid
Apr. 25th, 2014 08:49 amThis should be my last post about Sakura nendoroid, she is now on sale (preorder) and so, these are the last information about her:

Official GSC description page
Official GSC preordering page, price: 4800jpy, includes 'Sealing Wand (Key Form) Charm' as a bonus. Orders can be placed between the 25th April 2014 (Fri) from 12:00JST and the 28th May 2014 (Wed) at 21:00JST.
Can also be preordered at: amiami for 3890jpy, at hobby search for 3999jpy and at amazon.co.jp fpr 3707jpy (the bonus wand charm is NOT included). Preordering periods unknown, very likely will be the limit of their stocks.
For the one not used to preorders, it's simple: do it as soon as possible, no matter which online store it is, they have limited stocks available, so waiting till the last day just won't do it...
For the one not used to nendoroids, yes, all the photos in the gallery are of one and the same nendoroid, they're not different figures.
She's got many accessories and parts that can be switched around: 3 faces/expressions, the main figure of course, the base/stand that keeps her standing, the sealing wand, the clow card, the "Fly" spell wand (flying pose), Kero-chan (his neck and tail are articulated allowing you to alter his pose to match however you choose to pose your Sakura), alternate lower and upper body parts (arms/legs/waist) and the magic circle bellow her.
Series: Cardcaptor Sakura
Manufacturer: Good Smile Company
Category: Nendoroid

Date: 2014-04-26 02:22 pm (UTC)Did you make with polymer clay?
I've personally been collecting polymer clay material and accessories for 2 years now, progressively since it's expensive; truth is I have enough to make something (more than enough actually....) but in my search of 'perfection', I always end up having thoughts like: oh, I still need this and that and also those and these...well, concretely, I need an oven bcs I can't use the one we cook food with haha~

Date: 2014-04-26 03:32 pm (UTC)nope, I use Das material, it doesn't need an oven (air-dry!) and you can use just water to make it softer (not like cold porcelain where you need cream, oil and a lot of elements!). I have never used polymer clay but I guess it's harder than Das??? (Das can be carved).... I would love to try polymer clay but is just as you said, expensive (and in my case I can't found it where I live T-T). If you use it and post about it, I would love to read your opinion and how hard/easy to use it is!!! :D
oh, that was the first key I made, so it doesn't look as perfect as I would've liked but after that one I made others and they look better, with smoother surface :D

Date: 2014-04-26 04:00 pm (UTC)Sakura is a spotlight on HLJ as well: http://www.hlj.com/product/gsc44395
I'm actually surprised she hasn't sold out at amiami or hlj yet.

Date: 2014-04-26 07:50 pm (UTC)It's because she was put on sale only yesterday ;) But don't worry, before long she will be out of stock everywhere hahaha~

Date: 2014-04-26 08:12 pm (UTC)I remember the Tiger & Bunny figures. Man, selling out in less than an hour and it usually was when I was a sleep too. Total suckage. Though i think a few of them sold out as soon as the were posted from what I heard from those in Japan.

Date: 2014-04-27 07:51 am (UTC)And yes, there are indeed things that vanished the very day they were put for preorder (happened to me), preorders that are cancelled even though they are made on that said first day (also happened to me), things that were put for immediate sale that disappeared so fast that you start doubting they were even sold to start with (indeed, that happened to me too...).
BUT! That kind of things thankfully didn't happen enough to me to be traumatized by it ;) I'm usually just super careful about release dates~
What I don't do often is purchase figures, I've never really gone down the path of the figures collector, even though I knew about them and saw them around often of course. I have many of the Clamp related ones though :D

Date: 2014-04-27 03:52 pm (UTC)The only time something truly gets cancelled on me is when i'm selecting gifts for other people. It's like a curse. lol
CDJapan does send me emails about things i may like and sometimes they are already out of print. that's annoying too. lol
