Meanwhile:
- xxxHOLiC Rei, which was supposed to be weekly, gets released only once or twice per month;
- Drug & Drop chapters get an even poorer schedule for being monthly, since their chapters aren't listed on the official site and we only know when they are published or not when the magazine goes out;
- CCS Mobile game gets discontinued, so no more new CCS illustrations;
- Oh, let's not forget Gate7 (you may also consider X here because it's one of the main rants of the fandom since, you know, EVER)

Am I the only one feeling frustrated here?

Seems there's a bit of apathy towards their current manga work at this point in their careers. They've always had pretty finicky release schedules and it is possible health concerns are the reason, but it does make it harder to get excited about these manga. The community activity has dropped considerably, and there really isn't much excitement in other places like tumblr. I was excited when they created the twitter accounts and started twitcasting, but really, they just post food and drinks...and I suspect they twitcast while drinking. Anyway, it's best to just enjoy whatever they do release and not expect current work to be as new and interesting as their old school work.

FINALLY! I thought I was being a killjoy for not feeling too happy or aroused about their recent work on their current series (xxxHOLiC Rei and Drug & Drop, namely) because of the story and/or the schedule.

I just think that CLAMP lacks _TRANSPARENCY_ above all things. There are several others things (works on infinite hiatus, giving little to no care about fans outside Japan, etc), but I think they should just be honest with their fans regarding wether they are still sick and maybe won't be able to continue any further, are preparing something huge (but can't tell what it is atm) or just don't feel like drawing weekly/monthly manga anymore and would rather illustrate novels, make dolls and draw wedding dresses and kimonos. I think any of these would be fine, they should just tell us what's up. I'd respect that.

CLAMP's twitter has been posting some news lately since the new site was launched... though it pales in comparison to the huge amount of posts (and photos) about food and beer - even with two of them having their own twitter accounts. In the beginning we had at least some oekaki to look forward to, but now...

You're not the only frustrated one, unfortunately, there are a lot of us I'm afraid :'(

I really couldn't get myself to get excited over neither Lawful Drug nor xxxholic stories because it feels like it's all over the place and the chapters are released messily at random times right and left; as you said, Gate7 is on hiatus; I don't even think about X anymore at this point; and the one and only thing (CCS game and new artworks) I looked forward to, that was actually always on schedule and made my month is going to disappear on december 2d D:

Well, the CCS Mobile thing was kinda expected since one year passed (probably the new illustrations were a 1-year contract thing, like you said on september's image post) since this CCS remake was just a huge cockteaser made up by an interview of a MADHOUSE staff followed by some CLAMP meetings with MAPPA's CEO (who was one of the higher-ups on MADHOUSE back in 1994~2000) and some obscure comments and things here and there (Junko Iwao's "Tomoyo Side Single" with a new illustration of Tomoyo, for one), along with the recent lack of relevant news.

It's not CLAMP's fault for making up this "CCS remake hoax" thing though - the fanbase is the one that assumed something would come of the interview. >_> If there really is something yet to announce on this matter though, they missed the time to do it.

I hardly see anyone excited about CLAMP anymore. I feel like I'm one of a few still standing there - and I'm frowning.

I was pretty happy to see a new anime SxS illustration, but I personally never seriously hoped for a new CCS series to be released, sincerely, the likeliness of it is dramatically low, close to null ^^; It would be nice if it ever happened of course but well...again, it's VERY unlikely!
I enjoy all the colored manga scans (and still enjoying them) in the game and also the new artworks; as a CCS fan, I could never have enough of it of course! Let's hope the 2 last artworks will be beautifully made (and include Syaoran :P) and that it will end with a bang!

I was hoping they would release a book about the game in which they would also include the new artworks, but I really don't know if it's ever going to happen or not...

And yes, the fans are not too excited about clamp lately to say the least, Clamp seriously need to do something good to revive all the dormant fans all around the world!

Anyway!
For the time being, I'd like it if they tied up loose ends like XXXHolic and Lawful Drug, to finally see a decent ending to both of them (and I suspect they might 'end' TRC inside of xxxholic too the same way they ended tokyo babylon inside of X universe), also, I personally do not believe Gate7 is the type of series which will be dragging on for many volumes, maybe 6 or 7-8, meaning we would already be half way through? When all that is done with, I believe the direction Clamp takes from that point on will be critical for the rest of their careers.

I feel the same. I hated how Tsubasa ended, it had such a strong opening, then somewhere in the middle it just went all over the place. I wasn't impressed with Gate 7, and was really excited about the restart of Legal Drug (Now Drug & Drop), but I hate having that nagging feeling of "will it ever actually end, and is it going to have a real ending, or just half-a$$ed ending?"
Even though they had originally said it was going to be like 15 volumes, at this point I don't care if it's only 3-4, as long as it ends.

I'm IN LOVE WITH THIS!. Though are these completely new illustrations for halloween right? I love the Syaoran one and Sakura one. I am so sad it ended in 1 year *sigh* I wish they made the CCS new anime since there are so many fans loyal to CCS :(, oh well it was a nice time knowing that they still cared for Sakura!
