clampnowbackupThe new manga announcement in Newtype is that CLAMP will start a new Gohou (Legal) Drug series in Young Ace Magazine on November 4th!
The three previously released volumes will be reprinted with new covers starting October 3rd.

And also... Am I the only one that doesn't like the way Rikuo was drawn here? I dunno, he seems to be... boyish looking? I liked how fierce he looked before, but there he just looks like a boy trying to glare. That's not the same as fierce. Hrmmmmm. CLAMP, I love you but please don't change. >_

And I really hope the BL tones will remain, cause that's the main reason why I want to read this manga. I'm not gonna lie and say I want to keep reading because of its awesome story, because we never had much of a story to begin with. So, if they start bringing crap about Rikuo being in love with whoever that black-haired girl is or Kazahaya developing incestuous feelings for his sister or a stupid plot twits where we learn that Kakei is actually genderless or some s*** like this, I'm leaving Clamp for good.

Date: 2011-08-06 06:18 pm (UTC)One of the reasons I got into CLAMP was because all kinds of relationships were treated the same: you got het, BL, and GL. Sometimes all in the same series. Lately, though? It seems they're moving away from anything except het, and they've taken to denying that they have anything BL in their series (at least, so I read in one interview). I know it's probably because they've been running mostly in magazines aimed at boys/men, but... still. It's very disappointing because -at least for me- them having all kinds of love/relationships in their series is what set them apart from other mangaka.
