[News] Kobato. manga ending in Newtype 8

As expected, CLAMP -NET has updated with news that Kobato. will end in Newtype 8 which will be on sale July 10th.

According to Animate, Volume 6 will be released July 25th.

Feel free to speculate on how you think CLAMP will end the story in the comment area.

I'm voting for something similar to the anime or like Wish. I don't think CLAMP does really sad stories. :)

Ah, totally called it. I'm glad I only got a six month subscription to Newtype this year instead of a 12 month.

I'm not sure how they're going to wrap up the story so quickly (it's not like they can just throw double the amount of pages into Newtype-at least, I don't THINK they can) but I hope it's not TOO sad! (I'm pretty resigned to any ending of CLAMP's being bittersweet!)

And I wonder if they will pick up another project now that they're only left with Gate 7?

With only 2 chapters remaining and they are very short ones at that, I don't expect anything spectacular or drastic. It'll probably be an open-ended kind of ending like most CLAMP stories. Look at what happen to xxxHOLiC after all that build-up. Even worse for TRC. I suspect Ioryogi will remain as it is although I would have wanted to see it/him transform to his original self at the end but I highly doubt that's where the story is going. Sigh!

My Newtype subscription ended with the January issue, I haven't read anything past that but...I hope it's not as rushed as xxxHolic -___-

I don't really know what to think of it, is Clamp dedicating all their time to Gate7 ?

kobato never seemed like a lengthy story. it always felt like a short story like suki. dakara suki. the whole ioryogi gang made me more curious about their world, but i'm guessing that that part was never meant to be a big part.

It will be a good idea if Clamp decide to continue X, now they have to work only on Gate7. I really hope so. Jpop is publishing X again here in Italy and they told at the press that CLamp assured they will end X soon. Let's see...but anyway, they are Clamp.
