2010 CLAMP Year in Review!

And another year comes to a close.


What did we treat ourselves to this year?

Manga stats:
Kobato. reached Drop 22d and Volume 5.
xxxHolic reached chapter 211 and Volume 18.
GATE 7 premiered with a one-shot teaser chapter.
Another Horitsuba chapter appeared, too.

Anime productions:
Kobato. ended its run on tv and released its final volume on DVD.
xxxHolic・Rou's OAD was released in April.
xxxHolic・Rou Adayume previewed its trailer for next year's OAD.

Other:
CLAMP did illustrations for Olympic skater Yui Sakai, Maaya Sakamoto, NHK's Tensai TV-kun, Summer Wars, and more.
CLAMP also designed a couple Blythes for an exhibit and charity auction. (ETA: The exhibit will be moving to the Kyoto International Manga Museum in January 2011)
CLAMP opened official twitter accounts.

Upcoming:
xxxHolic・Rou Adayume will be coming out in March with Volume 19.
GATE 7 will start its regular serialization in February
The CLAMP@Mobile Fes! will be held in February

Domestic news:
Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations & Spring Thunder will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in January.
CLAMP in America will be released in June (or so they say)
More omnibus, regular manga, and anime releases from Dark Horse, Yen Press, Del Rey and FUNimation.

Ah~ Great year and lets look forward to more in 2011~

Do you mean that they are releasing the Tsubasa OAD's in Japan or America?

domestic news for the USA. :) USA is kinda slow about releasing its licenses, so i was glad to see the OADs on Amazon.

Yes *punches air*! Have they dubbed it or is it just Japanese with subs? Part of me hopes it hasn't been dubbed - I cringe to think of the appalling English cast ruining the OADS. Oh well, I live in the UK so I've probably got a while to wait until it comes out here, but hopefully it won't be too long. Now we just have to wait for them to release XXXHolic Kei and the XXXHolic OADS and we're about sorted :)

they have it in in English dub (and I just pre-order the Tsubasa dvd so yeah) they most likely won't do XXXHOLiC kei or the other ova's in dub :(

Oh well, as long as they release them. I never watch the dubs, I always find them embarrassingly awful (Tsubasa's in particular).
