Just got a notice from Amazon.com that CLAMP in America will be delayed until June 28th, 2011 which is confirmed at Random House.

Anyone know why?

I just sent an e-mail over to Random House inquiring a reason. I don't think they'll answer it from my personal e-mail, though.

If I don't get a response by Friday morning, I'll give a call to my Random House representative from work and see if they'll give me a direct response. I'd do it sooner, but I know my other bosses are busy and probably won't have time to give me an extension number to call them direct. I'll report back as soon as I can get some info!

All this delaying has gotten ridiculous.
Seriously, what is it they are putting in this book that justify it?: all Clamp major artworks are all known and packed in artbooks, all infos/interview/etc.. were released in countless mediums already (like All about Clamp or the whole Clamp no Kiseki collection...) and so on...I see no mystery here nor anything truly difficult to create, at least, not in such a long time ^^;
Are they waiting for both XXXHolic and Kobato to finish then?

Maybe because of the Del Rey-Kodansha merge. IDK though, that's just a guess.

It's actually kind of weird that it's still on the table, seeing as Del Rey officially shut it's doors last/this month. Kondansha is supposedly taking over any of their titles (though they've said it's a case by case basis and they've only really mentioned manga and not any novels or other stuff, like this book). Hopefully Kondansha US will actually get around to publishing it, after they get things settled as a company (they're supposedly starting publishing next year, with Random House as a distributor).

Well that does explain things. Their website hasn't been very informative, and I've been reading rumors about Del Rey shutting down for weeks now. Thank you for the tip!

It hasn't really been rumors about Del Rey shutting down- Del Rey is definitely closing but instead Random House will shift manga publishing now to Kodansha USA. The crappy thing is that Kodansha USA has had horrible communication and a terribly slow output so far. Here's hoping that things will change within 2011. Here's more info. I may edit this comment with more information later...
