I think CLAMP have said that they haven't abandoned X, and there have been hints (the last I heard a hint was in 2008) that they want to draw more of Legal Drug, but nobody really knows if and when they will ever continue either of them. Unfortunately. :(

Oh Clover... I wish they'd continue that, since that especially is the one that they seemed to have all planned out, but just never got the chance to put down. (I like to believe that they have X planned out too, but that one I'm less confident on since despite its popularity, we haven't gotten many hints at all, about even how much is left of it--outside the guesstimating of the tarot cards--while with Clover they listed about how many books tre would be...) And they only just started the story really, so we don't even have enough to obsess about! But it's such a gorgeous series, and seems like such an intruiging story...

XD Sorry for the rambling, it's just when people mention about series they wish Clamp would continue, Clover is so often left out, so I got excited when it was mentioned here...

I think there was some gossip around about them getting back to unfinished series after their current ones, which was Tsubasa and HOLiC, were done.

Gossip is gossip though, who knows whether they'll do that or not.

While on the subject, anyone know if X will be reprinted in English (aside from the dissapearing X/1999 books from Viz)? I know Dark Horse is taking over a lot of the older manga... I'm crossing my fingers they get to do X as well (their reprint of Clover was absolutely lovely)...

Hello there! I hope you don't get irritated, but I just had to ask: Does anyone have any further news about X being continued? It's one of CLAMP's most memorable works, and I'm sure a lot of people would agree, and definitely I would be waiting for it should they actually sit down and put it down. On a sidenote, if they were waiting for holic and trc to be done before going back to their old mangas, then why did they start on Kobato, and the upcoming Mangettes/Mangetsu. Wouldn't that push the continuance of X even further? (thinking that it would be difficult to pick up X and/or Legal Drug when they have 2 more ongoing titles)

It's my thinking about this question!
X is stopped because of a lot of natural and polictical events happenned that, by a chance (or the good fore-seen ability of CLAMP ^^), had the same with what is told in the manga. And... it still. So when will this manga continue is still a big question. However, you can claim that CLAMP isn't abandon it like what they said (but the real is: it may not be published in the future, as if through all the artistic life of CLAMP because a lot of reasons -> wish it wouldn't come true, even if...)
Moreover, I can sure that CLAMP drawn the whole all of the story, but the remain still isn't be serialized and published. It'll have 21 volumes at all (that with the X Zero, an artbook, will make a complete major arcana in the Tarot, as the excellent idea of CLAMP).
But, in other hand, as the question from a friend whom asked me before: Will X still be published when it told us about the 1999 event and now, we're living in the 21th century without anything happened?

In my opinion, I wish CLAMP will continue X. It's an excellent manga and is one of my favourite.
It's the same about Gohou Drug and Clover. I heard many times that CLAMP will continue it (and CLAMP confirmed it also) as all of us still wait for.
However, at least, we know that Clover will be ended after 6 or 7 volumes.
I'm very happy too if CLAMP continues the Shin-Shunkaden too. It's ended suddenly after few chapters and it's still have a lot of stories ahead to draw. Wish and dream for it, CLAMP said they still have a lot of ideas more for Shin-Shunkaden!!!
