I'm kind of confused why they would be collecting information about Shinto shrines when the main character is said to be the daughter of a temple caretaker (temples are usually Buddhist, though there are shrine-temple mashes out there).

Also, at SakuraCon last week, I bugged Dark Horse about what was going on and they said they were meeting with CLAMP representatives (I assume?) this very week to work on the project.

nice. with Kobato and xxxHolic monthly, maybe they can fit in another monthly manga this fall. the preorder sites still say august 2010. i'm guessing it may be pushed back until Kobato wraps up. anyway, looking forward to a new series. :)...in english, too!

That could be the case, but then again, there tends to be a difference between Shinto architecture and Buddhist architecture (including color schemes). I'm sure they know what they're doing though. They've delved into shrine and temple stuff before, after all, and they certainly knew the difference between Sorata's lifestyle and Arashi's lifestyle.

I'm super-excited too, I can't wait (not just for that, but for Dark Horse's rerelease of CCS. They had some sample pages there and they looked superb!)
