[Discussion] TRC epilogue
Oct. 5th, 2009 06:41 pmTime to discuss the epilogue.
Here are some prompts, but comment on whatever you want!!!
1. There were some strong negative comments last week. Has this chapter changed your feelings?
2. Is this conclusion satisfying or would you like to see a conclusive 'end' in the upcoming omakes or via xxxHolic?
3. How many of you guessed the end correctly? Back in November of last year, I asked the community for their guesses on Sakura and Syaoran's real names. At least one of you guessed correctly. Any others?
4. Did you read this starting 6 years ago? OR did you recently start reading this series? What made you continue or pick the series up?
5. Any disappointments?
6. Last week, someone posted a fanart they made to commemorate the end. Feel free to post a link to a fanwork you made for the end of Tsubasa. :)
7. Anything else?
Thank you to everyone who helped share Tsubasa with the CLAMP community.
Also, the CLAMP fanbook is almost ready. We'll be sending our thanks to CLAMP quite soon.

Date: 2009-10-05 11:00 pm (UTC)1. I didn't have any negative thoughts last week. Based on knowing CLAMP's previous works, they always write in a 'happy' end. The 'Tsubasa' made me laugh.
2. I think CLAMP will give us snippets of life after in omakes only or via xxxHolic•Rou guest appearance. I hope they don't create a new series to complete their journey. I'm satisfied knowing that they continue to travel and are able to return to Clow. Maybe when Watanuki is released, Syaoran will similarly be released from his price...though I wouldn't expect both to be tied since xxxHolic•Rou indicates a sort of 'new' series.
3. I had a passing thought that they'd still travel when CLAMP announced that they were finishing the series this year. No other ending made sense to me at the time, since they kept complicating the story with the clones. I am amused and still surprised at the actual end, since I didn't give much credence to that original thought.
4. I mentioned some of this last week, and wanted to repost my thoughts. This community was created solely to follow Tsubasa RC and xxxHolic (back in a yahoo group era) and I was hoping for a sci-fi/fantasy story with more aspects of alternative realities, and more thought-provoking cross-overs. It began in that manner, but veered off in a direction that may have been CLAMP fan-oriented. I am curious to what other 'new' CLAMP readers think. Stepping back, I have to admit that parts of Tsubasa as a whole were clumsy and the end...not one of the best manga endings I've read. The part where Sakura/Tsubasa says that she could not go with them because of a dream? Well, that needed more.
5. While I'm sure the FWR, Yuuko and Watanuki aspects still have time to be explained in xxxHolic, I'm a tad disappointed the FWR didn't get much of his say in Tsubasa. A story feels awkward when the bad guy is left hanging without a definitive explanation. I'm also sad Kamui, Subaru, Fuuma and Seishirou were placed in the story solely for mid-series-blahs fanservice, but am hopeful that they get future closure.
7. Nonetheless, enjoyed the series and very nice artwork. I hope both the 2nd artbook and ALL ABOUT CLAMP have some extras about Tsubasa.

Date: 2009-10-06 01:56 am (UTC)2. It's satisfying to me, but I definitely think we'll see more via Holic, though I too hope that they don't write another series focusing on these characters. Not that I don't love them all to death.
3. I can't say that I really predicted any of what actually happened, though I did hope that they would end up in Clow country with Fujitaka and Nadeshiko still alive.
4. God, Yahoo groups? I started reading this manga when it came out in English, and it was my very first manga...I hadn't even read anything else by Clamp, I just knew I liked them from watching CCS. So the whole thing has been a learning process for me, and because of that I wasn't terribly disappointed with where the story went. I've probably reread most volumes in the manga four or five times (counting Japanese and English together) and I have to say it hasn't lost its reread value for me, largely because the art is so beautiful. I do think this and HOLiC are Clamp's best works, artistically (except maybe for Clover, which is unique) and in general.
5. I'd echo the need for more FWR backstory...I really hope it comes out in HOLiC, though I couldn't quite say at this point how it could be done smoothly. I'm going to disagree and say that I'm not sad about the X/1999 characters' plotline being unresolved; after all, their original manga hasn't ended yet.

Date: 2009-10-05 11:00 pm (UTC)SakuraxSyaoran was cute, even though I didn't feel much for this Sakura since C!Sakura is the one I've known all along (while this one was in a perpetual time freeze). Still, it's nice for A Syraoran and A Sakura to finally confess their feelings (and not have something disastrous happening). Actually, I'm actually kind of glad Sakura isn't coming along on the journey because where Sakura goes drama follows D:
I remember when the first chapter of this came out in like...2002 or 2003 or something and thinking OMG but then I got kind bored and dropped it, only picking it up again during the Tokyo Arc (then I had to go back and reread everything...it was sitll as boring as I remembered it with some cute/awesome parts thrown in). Tokyo Arc was really addictive and got me hooked for the rest of the series. Though the Final Arc often sucked, there were some great parts so I'll give them that.
I HATE THAT THEIR NAMES ARE BOTH TSUBASA though the way it was revealed was cute, it just seems to trite and needless. But whatevs.
BTW the art was top notch.
bye bye Clamp. Can't wait for your new project (please start one that has no ties to other series thank u very much. Or...finish X1999? LOL)

Date: 2009-10-05 11:12 pm (UTC)..agrees with the art comment. Hope the artbook has the rest of the illustrations.
...worried about the new project. Most online stores have it dated August 2010. That's almost a whole year for CLAMP work on xxxHolic and Kobato only...seems like 2 projects might be too little for them. Hopefully they'll pick up an old project in the meantime.

Date: 2009-10-05 11:07 pm (UTC)2.- I love it. I'm SO, so happy with it, I couldn't have asked for a better ending. The idea of Syao and the others continuing their journey and being able to go back to Clow if they want to, it was an even better solution to "where will everyone stay" than anything I'd thought of. I do expect more things to be solved in HOLiC, though, because we still have Yuuko's and Watanuki's story to be solved there.
3.- I only guessed that TRC would explain Watanuki's reasoning for deciding to stay in the store a little further. And it did! Now we know he's not just trying to be emo forever, he actually needed to pay a price and all. But that's more of a HOLiC-guess, isn't it? Oh well. I'm perfectly content being the one to realize who the parents were; not guessing the actual ending made it a lot better, actually.
4.- I joined around the middle-ish of the Tokyo arc. So I'm still stunned that I finally know Real's actual name |Da; I joined pretty much when he did, afterall. And I only became more and more of a fan, I never lost interest ever since that moment.
5.- The lack of a group hug, the lack of at least a splash with SxS getting married (/fanbrat), how they didn't use the Nihon arc to solve the vampire stuff. But neither makes me rage or anything, I'm very, very happy with the series overall.
6.- N/A
7.- I LOVE THAT THE LAST WORD IN THE SERIES IS "KANARAZU". It's so fitting |D

Date: 2009-10-05 11:09 pm (UTC)2. My criterion (criteria?) for finding the ending satisfying was "Don't kill Kurogane or Fai off plz." I'm a very simple person to please, I guess lol. I'm fine with the conclusion but I certainly wouldn't say no to them making appearances in other mangas.
3. Nah, I didn't really make any guesses. /fail ;;
4. I picked it up in mid/late-2006. I heard about it from a friend who was looking for a KuroFai LJ Comm (lol). I began to check it out and got interested.
5. I would've liked more KuroFai moments. Buy, hey, I'll take what I can get.
6. THE LAST CHAPTER GAVE ME CHILLS AND MADE ME SHAKE AND CRY. THAT IS ALL.

Date: 2009-10-05 11:21 pm (UTC)2. I like the open endedness. I do hope to see more of the Tsubasa gang, but not necessarily a more 'complete' ending. I think little glimpses into their lives as Syaoran-tachi travel would make wonderful omakes and oneshots. And, maybe, watching them return to Clow Country some day would be nice. But I think it a lovely, hopeful end.
3. Oh, god. I didn't predict ANYTHING like this. I fail at predicting CLAMP!
4. Yes, I started this with the first chapter 6 years ago! In fact, I ordered the first two tankobans of Tsubasa and HOLiC from a local comic book shop just before the second volumes were released. They were the first tankobans I ever brought (because there was no sign, then, of a license). I remember the difficulty of getting the scanlations (or even translations) back then.
5. I do wish the Vampire Twin subplot had been revisited. Who knows, with the open end, it may yet! And I do wish Syaoran and Sakura could have been together, but their parting is quite gentle and not hopeless.
7. Thank you, CLAMP. Just...thank you.

Date: 2009-10-06 12:51 am (UTC)5. Yes, SxS (or TxT) had a 'gentle' parting..sort of like CCS, so maybe we'll see a reunion somewhere along the road.

Date: 2009-10-05 11:27 pm (UTC)2. Like I said, for me, this ending is perfect. Everyone's happy, the guys can still travel together, Sakura has her family, and there's good tidings in the future for the clones. Of course, omakes for what the guys do in other worlds are always welcome, but as a whole, this was a beautiful ending, and all the frustration I suffered through this last arc is so, completely forgiven. ^_^
3. I wasn't in this community at the time, but I thought they would get a happy ending...I just didn't quite know what to expect. I hoped for them all to keep traveling, and I got my wish! (And their real names make me lol. XD Cute and silly.)
4. I started to read the manga in 2005-2006, but then my computer crashed RIGHT when I got to the end of the Tokyo Arc and I lost my manga site, and it took me another two years or so to find it again. ;_; So I missed alot, but I was happy to come back again.
5. Absolutely none. Because really, if there's anything else that needs to be covered, they will do so in Holic. I think it would drag out the end of Tsubasa too much if they tried to explain it all here. \/_\/
6. Well, I'm a CG artist and an AMV maker, and I'm currently working on an AMV to commemorate the end of Tsubasa. I do have one video up right now (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHEJvQyCXeI), and I'm also working on leveling and cleaning the epilogue so I can color it. :)
7. LONG LIVE TSUBASA!!! =^_^=

Date: 2009-10-05 11:40 pm (UTC)From what I've seen in the epilogue, Clamp is clearly hinting to a fture encounter with them in the future. As to make yet 'another' end in Holic for example, I don't know? I think TRC 'ended' already, we just need to have answers to the most important questions.
3-The thought "Syaoran" real name would be Tsubasa did cross my mind.
But not both him and "Sakura" though~
4-I started since 6 years ago and followed it since chapter one. It all started with "rumors" online about a continuation of CCS: a new manga by Clamp with teenagers version of Sakura and Syaoran!! To say I was thrilled was an understatement, but on the other side, I was also highly doubtful...these kinds of rumors were vague and just plain unlikely. Then the very first drafts of Sakura and Syaoran appeared, and I refused to believe it was Clamp's arts! It was too different from CCS, they had somehow weird proportions and clothing I didn't like much (it was Syaoran usual cloak and stuff, and the princess' Clow cloth too) and it just looked wrong.
Then more infos came out and finally, I read chapter 1. It was absolutely NOT what I was expecting after the flowery CCS so it was a big shock from my expectations, but it had been my DREAM to see those 2 older, and also to actually see a manga that would be more centered on Syaoran then Sakura, furthermore, it was Clamp's new work so I would give it a chance absolutely!
The first volumes weren't too exciting, but a fun and entertaining read absolutely ^^ Then came the period with all the mysteries, the guessing, the theories, the shocking revelations! Some scenes were pure Art, totally awesome!!! And then, came the final arc with too many disappointments...
5-The disappointments?
Fei Wang Reed definitely, the mediocrity of his character was plain shocking and made the whole journey seems like a bad joke. Considering how much so many people's fates and lives were changed because of that character, after reading so many chapters and following it that far, the non nonexistent depth of FWR was a downfall.
The involvement of CCS as fanservice. Clamp went TOO far with the hints and alikeness in many senses that I won't list, too long.
All the plot holes, forced answers that barely make sens and unanswered questions.
7-TRC is the one series to which fandom I've involved myself with, a series I've followed without any interruptions for 6 years long.
In spite of loose ends, the epilogue gave me a general good feeling and I guess we can expect to see more of them in the future ^__^
Syaoran is my number one favorite male character of all times, and it won't change.

Date: 2009-10-05 11:57 pm (UTC)2. I like the end how it is as we’re now free to imagine what’s going to happen to them. I couldn’t picture a closed ending for Tsubasa. And it’s good for the fandom; I hope we’ll get tons of fanfics and doujinshis about the boy’s travel… even if I wouldn’t mind clamp making some omakes or make the boys appear four years later in Holic…
3. I only guessed they’d keep travelling and that Kurogane wouldn't keep his fake arm for long ^^;.
4. I started to read Tsubasa since the first book was published in France (end of 2004) because of XXX-Holic. Stupidly enough what made me continue to read the series was livejournal because I discovered the scans and also that you could talk about the manga with others fans. I joined the fandom on the internet in 2007; when the Tokyo arc started. I also stayed ‘till the end for the sake of KuroxFye and Kuroxmokona ^^;.
5. -I’m a Kuroxfye fanbrat so I would have liked a tiny little bit more interaction between those two but oh well~
-Less battle scenes in the last book would have been good.
-The ending was plain.
6. Already did it on Kuroxfai yesterday and on deviant today~won’t spam people here XD
7. Yes ♥, thanks to TRC I met wonderful people and fellow Clamp fans and because I dearly love that manga I took part to projects I would have never dared even thinking about otherwise (doujinshis, cosplay). I’ll always have a soft spot for Tsubasa. aand
KEEP THE FANWORKS COMING GUYS ♥.

Date: 2009-10-06 12:06 am (UTC)2. It's satisfying. FWR is going to be explained in 'Holic (I'll be shocked if it isn't) and I don't mind the fact that the hunter/vampire subplot was never resolved. By leaving the hunter/vampire story open, it allows for those characters to appear in future works by CLAMP.
3. I never thought about their names. I didn't really care what their names were, they would still be Syaoran and Sakura, nothing would change except their names. I find it very adorable though that they're both named 'Tsubasa'.
4. I started around the beginning of the Piffle arc. A few weeks after I caught up, I took a mini-break from it because I was tired of the plot going no where and started up again towards the end of the Lecourt arc.
5. Certain characters I wanted to see never showed up. Hokuto, Taishakuten, Kujaku, Yue, the GD boys, Hisui and Kokuyo, Gingetsu and Ran, Suu, Kazuhiko and plenty of others that I'm forgetting.
6. N/A
7. CLAMP gave us an amazing story and I can't wait to see what they do next. Whether it be finishing an older story or something new, I know whatever it is, it'll be just as good if not better.

Date: 2009-10-06 12:20 am (UTC)2. If there is anything with R!Syao's journey with the others popping up at any time I would love to see it~ but yes, I think that either way, it was a nice way to wrap up the series, because even though R!Syao parted from Sakura, they can still actually see each other again this time.
3. I wasn't with the community, so I can't really say XD
4. First, in 2005 I heard of the series from my friends, but I refused to read it because it was too different from CCS. Then in 2007 I saw the trailer for the first OVA of Tokyo Revelations and I went "ZOMG THIS LOOKS AWESOME" so I went and read the series up until the current chapters of that year (which I believe was around the end of the Fai arc)
5. The fact that CCS!Saku and Syao were NOT R!Syao's parents were a major disappointment to me. I think it would have made alot more sense rather than the clones being his parents. That is also another thing. The clones bugged me. I know there were alot of fans for them but I never really liked them (especially Cloney Syaoran). I did tolerate C!Sakura though. I wish though that R!Syao wasn't messed around with like he was by CLAMP. The poor boy went through too much of their nonsense and ended up with too much sadness. The plotholes were definitely a bit much, especially at the end of the series. It was just plot hole after plot hole and it really annoyed me. I also agree with cutesherry on the CCS fanservice. That was just heart breaking what they did. I also hate how we STILL know nothing about FWR. I would have at least want to know a back story or something of him.
6. mebbe later when I get the chance I will contribute XD
7. Viva la Tsubasa family~

Date: 2009-10-06 12:50 am (UTC)2. I can live with this end ^^
3. Absolutely not...I never thought it'd end like this and I never bothered to guess their names...I'm glad I never did...I enjoyed it much more this way.
4. I started reading it since chapter 1 was up...but
I didn't like much tsubasa's style back then -w-U (stupid me)
and dropped it very quickly ...then on 2005 someone recommend it to me again and I read it and this time I loved it, became a fan and never stopped reading since then.
5. the only thing that bothers me is FWR character not being really explained, I hope it can be explained in Holic...I never expected CLAMP to solve the vampires story (they were secondary characters that had the same importance as Kyle or Xing Huo)
6. -w- not yet
7. Tsubasa <3

Date: 2009-10-06 01:19 am (UTC)I picked up TRC in 2004 or 2005 because of Seishirou and Subaru. I got through the Hanshin arc, got bored and dropped the manga. I kept telling myself I should pick it up again, if only for Sei/Sub, but I only got round to doing so this year. I was still a bit bored at first, but I was hooked by the Shurano arc.
I really liked the fact they finally solved the name mystery, and I LOVED seeing Fujitaka and Nadeshiko again. I was a bit worried they would disappear too, but I'm happy the whole family is united again, in a way they never were in CCS. I'm just disapointed that the twins and Seishirou+Fuuma turned out to be filler characters--I was really hoping we'd get some more info on them. I kind of hope CLAMP will pick them up again in the future, though.
no subject
Date: 2009-10-06 01:28 am (UTC)2. I don't mind the open ending part (it's very Clamp-like after all), though a couple of cute omakes would be welcome.
3. The ending did not come as surprise, but I was hoping for something else... somewhere very deep inside. XD And I used to fear RG Veda-kind of ending for Tsubasa. So silly of me, really.
4. As I recall I began reading xxxHOLiC when first tankoubon was released. And then (after quite a few tries) got into Tsubasa as well.
5. Except for lack of explanations about FWR's motivation and the whole Clow&Yuuko relationship? Lack of any kind of conclusion for Seishirou, Subaru, Fuuma and Kamui, of course!
no subject
Date: 2009-10-06 01:31 am (UTC)2. Oh, but of course they're dropping by Holic. Holic will never be free of Tsubasa, but I'd like that.
3. I couldn't think of one.
4. Strangely, yes. I bought the Del Ray release of the first volume (2004? Or early 2005) as soon as it came out but then... stopped (I think I was still angry with CLAMP, or something) but slowly picked it up two years ago. Mainly because of
the Tokyo ArcHolic.5. I thought there wouldn't be any wind swooshing and fwooshing again but oh, THERE IT WAS AT THE END. Thought, seriously, nobody can complain with the pretty art and the final closure. Also: Holic will save the day, I'm sure. I hope.

Date: 2009-10-06 01:36 am (UTC)2. There is no real conclusion to the series, so there is nothing to be satisfied about except for some cuteness and fanservice
3. I never really tried to guess what would happen in the end, I just followed the series because it was fun
4. I actually started TRC manga after watching the first season of the anime and that was during Tokyo arc (and in anime it was the beautiful Outo that caught my attention, never watched the second season by the way) XDDD then I realized that manga was much more gory, which suits me fine, and intense and there was much more KuroFai-ness in there too, so I kept following it because of these two amazing guys :))
5. Bad story telling and planning, lame villains(Fei Wong, I'm really sorry for you, man), some meaningless fan service (CCS)
7. The best panel in this chapter is the first panel on page 3 - with 2 fangirls staring at Kurogane and Fai and whispering - that made my day XDDDDDD
no subject
Date: 2009-10-06 02:11 pm (UTC)That summons my thoughts, no ending, just fanservice that I won't complain for. And I agree in all the points except I started reading it when Sei popped in in Outo :D

Date: 2009-10-06 01:59 am (UTC)Sakura staying behind was both bittersweet and a little irking. Her explanation is that she'll make the journey harder, but Syaoran isn't exactly the luckiest guy in the universe himself. Compared with the other females CLAMP has done, including CCS!Sakura, TRC!Sakura is just... all right. I have a weakness for princesses but there's only so much I can take of "I'll stay behind while the men prance off", as knee-jerk feminist as that sounds.
There are way too many loose ends for CLAMP to write off as speculation that they couldn't fit into the story. Fans should infer things for themselves but there's way too much to even consider taking concrete details out of it all.
no subject
Date: 2009-10-06 02:05 am (UTC)2. YES. I love that they’re continuing the journey. When I was thinking about how it would all end, it never occurred to me that they would stay together—I figured Syaoran and Sakura would go to Clow Country and Fay would stay with Kurogane in Nihon, and it would be sad because to spend all that time together to be separated (more or less) forever is just terrible. But instead the three of them are going off to new worlds, and they’ll be coming back to Clow to visit Sakura often. It’s as ideal as it can get.
3. ↑↑ |D;;
4. I followed it from the beginning to volume six but fell out of fandom for whatever reason. I picked it up again in April because a friend was confused by the clone situation and caught myself up in two days, and I’ve been following it ever since.
5. I’d really like to see Kurogane and Fay get together (make it official, rather; I’m a member of the together-since-167 tribe), but it’s 1. CLAMP and 2. a shounen manga, so I wasn’t expecting much. ... So for better or worse, I’ve gotten my hopes up for the omake. Whoops. e__e
Oh, and I’d like to know if Fay’s still a vampire or not—they never clarified that bit. :| I get the feeling he’s not anymore, though.
6. If I’d made one, I would totally link it, but alas.
7. Okay, so I’m also a huge Kurofai fan, which might have influenced my feelings as they appear in this chapter more than even Sakura and Syaoran. 8D; But I think CLAMP kept fans like me in mind specifically writing this chapter. They added some silliness like old times, we got a nickname (I’m most fond of Kuro-sama, but Kurotan is fine too!), and I just found it really nice to see that they could all be comfortable for a while without worrying, like pre-Tokyo but better because it’s real.
I also really liked the way they chose to explain it all with Fay telling it to Kurogane. Fay has always known more than Kurogane but never told him anything until someone else revealed it; it happened constantly. So I feel like the fact that he’s offering information (and a ton of it) for a change is significant; it shows both the genuine trust that’s developed between them and how much Fay has changed. He’s definitely made a complete 180 over the series—I’d venture to say he’s neck and neck with Watanuki for most developed character between TRC and XXXHOLiC—and I feel like this is a nod to that. :3
IF ANYONE ACTUALLY BOTHERED TO FINISH THIS ESSAY OF A COMMENT, I WILL GIVE THEM A GOLD STAR.

Date: 2009-10-06 02:13 am (UTC)Yeah, I was very happy to see so much of Kurogane and Fai in this. They were sort of in the background during the final arc (not that I minded too much, since the clones came back :) ) and seeing Kurogane get teased and Fai start the cute name-calling just warmed my heart. It was especially cute when Fai and Mokona pulled Kurogane into eavesdropping on Syaoran and Sakura (Sakura's cute when flustered, though the fact that Syaoran was not the least bit embarassed at being caught confessing sort of threw me), and I just got a vibe of one big family. That was my biggest fear about the end of the series, that CLAMP would split them all up forever with the exceptions of a few short visits here and there that we'd never get to see. That the guys form their little bachelor group and Sakura gets her whole family back was wonderful.

Date: 2009-10-06 02:15 am (UTC)2. I don't know how much conclusion we can expect out of HOLiC but I'd at least like to get some sort of definite ending, like whether or not Syaoran-tachi ever ended up finding a world where he and the clones could all live together, even if it's just a quick panel of all four of them or something. I hate open endings the most. D: I NEED CLOSURE, DAMMIT.
4. I picked up the manga when it first started, then kinda stopped following around chapter 30 or so because I felt it was better to just marathon the entire thing in one go so I'm not waiting week to week for a new chapter. I picked it up when I heard the manga was really close to ending because I was hoping for some closure to the series.
5. I'm disappointed that Fei Wang Reed didn't get much of a backstory. Like, what is Yuuko to him and why was he so set on bringing her back to life? Also, Sakura never got to show any awesome powers, she basically took the backseat for the entire series. I'm so used to her kicking ass in CCS that this was just a bit frustrating because I keep waiting for her to do something. Another disappointment is the lack of CCS!Sakura and CCS!Syaoran showing up. I was looking forward to seeing them and Kero.
7. My knowledge of Tsubasa is a bit here and there because I kept putting down the manga and picking it up at certain chapters and reading some summaries of what was happening on Wiki too. Can anyone tell me if they ever explained what is up with Sakura's parents in Clow Country? I thought her father was Clow at the very beginning. How did it switch over to become Fujitaka and Nadeshiko?

#7: When R!Syaoran turned back time, the lives of those who knew about the death curse changed the most dramatically. Nadeshiko died, and Fujitaka's life was changed to where he was a wandering archaeologist. Clow, knowing the kids would need guidance, left Kero and Yue from CCS (no, he didn't die, he just jumped ship--I mean dimensions) to fill in the role of King of Clow Country and Sakura's father.

3. I stopped guessing a long time ago XD
4. I started reading when it was first released in manga format in the US. And after that first volume (of holic, actually), I went online and caught up and have been a weekly reader since.
5. It's fine as is. Fai is happy again, which is great :3 It was a bonus to see Fujitaka and Nadeshiko alive XD
7. Now, back to holic XD

3. I had no idea XD It was a nice surprise, when they said it I was like "it was so obvious, how didn't I realize XD
4. I started reading it almost 4 years ago. It has been a great company for me.
5. I would have liked to know more about FWR's background, his relationship with Yuuko. Also why Kyle Rondart was with FWR, and some kind of resolution related to the Acid Tokyo arc but that's asking too much.
6.
7. Anything else? YES, I'M GONNA RE-READ IT STARTING TOMORROW. I'm already on withdrawal. XD

Date: 2009-10-06 05:20 am (UTC)oo2. I would like to know exactly why FWR was so single-mindedly focused on Yuuko - did he want to resurrect her to prove himself more powerful than Clow like what's been hinted at? Or for some other reason? So, yeah. An answer to that would be lovely.
oo3. I figured that Tsubasa was one of their real names around the time that we started figuring out that they were all traveling under pseudonyms. Tsubasa the series has nothing to do with 'wings.' It has to do with feathers. And all of CLAMP's titles correspond to the main character and/or the main plot device.
oo4. Probably around 2004? It was released in the US, and I picked up HOLiC, and started it when I realized it correlated.
oo5. The ridiculously slow pacing of the end. The series had picked up speed around the Tokyo arc, then slowed way down once they reached Nihon, picked up a little once they hit Clow, and slowed down once they reached the temple. Also, there were too many clones for my taste at the time, but that has been explained, and I'm glad that made it to the end.
oo6. I've been more of a HOLiC girl, lately - I find the darker side of the story immensely interesting. But now that it has ended, I'll probably write something. Soonish.
oo7. I wonder how many people are disappointed with this? There has been so much rage lately over the series... Just curious. ^_^
