I also immediately thought of X when Clamp talked about politics and such; but the thing is that X has been on hiatus for many years now, so no matter what issue it was, it must be quite out dated by now no matter how you look at it ^^;;
And since they talked about something that was ending 'really soon', the 2 mangas on going who were indeed announced to end soon were Holic/TRC, which releases coincidently slowed down dramatically lately...

No, I'm pretty sure is X. They are being polite with the "really soon" (they are REALLY polite), that's why they say the "please be patient" line.

I would lie to you if I tell you I know what CLAMP meant. But it sounded to me like aren't the type to tell their fans who got very anxious when X was put on hiatus, "hey, you have to wait at least 3 more years!".
