Appreciation Fanbook Project
There were a few questions that came up over the last few weeks, so please take a look at this post for answers, clarification, and for some sample mock pages.
Many thanks to the members who submitted some samples of their work!
Recent Issues -
1. Shape: Please submit you work in whatever shape you want. Vertical, horizontal, oval, etc. It will all be okay with our book format.
2. Your signature: Please sign or put a small watermark on your work. For the sake of time and accuracy, we will not keep track of everyone's names, and we will not type everyone names on the pages, so please sign your work with your preferred name. (This is NOT a place to advertise your online store, deviantartpage, etc. DO NOT TRY TO SELL STUFF with this project!!! Those submissions that have website urls will be rejected.) You may also create a small white space below your image to type out your name if you do not want to put your signature on the image itself. (See example below for watermark example)

3. Identifying people in photos: For cosplay photos please add a small area under your photo with your name(s). See samples below. Make sure your the font size is not too small. If you do not have a photo editing program to do this, just make sure you list out your name(s) how you want it to appear when you submit your work, and I will add it under the photo. Example--> "Sara Smith as Sakura". (I grabbed a couple photos from the CG community for the below examples)

4. Size: Yes, your work may end up looking smaller than you thought it should. The book program lets me know if the quality of the image is blurry, so I will shrink it until the warning goes away. No other edits will be made to the work. Please pay attention to the guidelines.
5. Original or copy? If it looks traced or like too much original CLAMP artwork, we don't care if you tell us it isn't, we'll reject it. If it looks traced to us, it will look traced to everyone else. It will look traced to CLAMP, so there is no point in submitting it. Again, this is a gift to CLAMP, so please consider the nature of this project when you are creating your work.
6. If I had already emailed or replied to you about an exception, it will be upheld.
ETA:
7. If you were raised in one country and currently live in another, you can choose which country's chapter you want to be in.
8. You can sign whatever name you want to use (real or alias).
9. You can NOT send a collection of fanworks as one file. Please choose your best items. 2 items max.
Please comment here with any other questions. (If you have asked a question and have not received an answer within a week, please lj msg me or email me, seichan80 at yahoo dot com. RL gets busy sometimes.)
All guidelines are open to re-evaluation as needed.
