CCS new Blu-ray Box : 1st Box

The first Blue-ray Box was released today! ^^
And of course, now there are more pics found online...

Well, the pictures ARE a big disappointment: those are all old pics taken from the DVD boxes released in 2003 by Geneon too (the four images above are respectively the covers of the 2003 DVDs 1, 6, 11 and 14). So int the end, the only new illustration is the Box cover.

THAT SAID, those are pics posted by customers in Amazon.jp, and I find it VERY WEIRD that all those old pics were conveniently cut off exactly were the japanese text was in the 2003 edition, and the new text and new font printed right above...and as yamisakura pointed out to me, it's even more suspicious to see Sakura with her Star Wand when we know this is the Blu-ray Box dedicated exclusively to the Clow Cards arc...so those might be fakes. Else, this is the laziest art work in the world -_____-

Finally, let's remember this release is about the enhancement of the quality of the anime episodes and also the conversion to 16:9 format, more then new illustrations.

It looks like the people who pre-orders will get telephone cards with their Boxes ? If someone who can read japanese could confirm, it would be great ^^;;

on the far left in the posters it says Original Telephone Card like you said.
On the left poster at the top it says Clow Card and then on the right poster the top says Sakura Card....the katakana on the right says "gamazu" which sound slike game...and I can't read the kanji v_vu...especially since it's in bubble font.

but your are right, it sounds like you get a phone card with the box sets.

Well, the katakanas are saying 'Orijinaru Terehon Kaado', so I believe that you're right. Well, I guess the blu-ray episodes are actually the only thing worth it. XD~

But those new illustration makes sakura looks weird..
I always got a feeling those do not look like her.
There is actually quite easy to tell when these illustrations came from..
The latest all do not look the same as in the past illustration though..
I miss the old illustrator, who ever he or she may be...

Haix.. Hope to get a set too. It wil be so nostaglic.

"gamazu" might be referring to the Japanese anime shop Gamers. the Blue-Ray boxes with the telephone cards may be available exclusively at Gamers.
