(Da Vinci magazine announced that in its March issue there will be a "large feature" about CLAMP and their 20th Anniversary.Among the contents included in it, a special long interview with CLAMP, information about Tsubasa & XXXHOLiC, CLAMP comics guide, CLAMP's book recommendations and more.)

So I take it you've ordered from amazon.jp before? What are the fees to the States like?

ordered a couple magazines before and it was over $20 shipping. ordering alot might offset the shipping. amazon.jp only use ems/dhl? (signature required) to the usa.

i usually try jpqueen or yesasia or other stores to see if their markups are less than the amazon's shipping. wish i lived near a kinokuniya :(

Just like Nokiirat said, Amazon.jp only use DHL/Fedex (no EMS) for international shipping (at least for me in Europe).
International economic shipping is no longer available since march 2007.

I went back to CDJpan yesterday and the TRC26 had disappeared from their listing x__x

As for Amazon.jp, I joined all 4 of them together, because 3300JPY of shipping cost for each one is Hell (it's as expensive as the item itself!!). That way, I only pay 3300 JPY once and then they just add up 300 JPY for each item added.

Anyway, even if it 'officially' appears as 'combined shipping', they never wait until they get them all to dispatch them: they always send it off as soon as they get one ^^

Do that, definitely! I can tell you by experience that it's always like this ^^
For example, I've ordered countless things since august, when I added up xxxholic14, but they just went and send all the others items as soon as they got them, leaving aside the pre-orders for later and future releases for later on ^^

You don't need to cancel though, just combine the orders :D

Aha, I always do that actually: I was really hoping REAL HARD they would list all 4 Holic/TRC so that I could join them together and save on shipping cost.

Same for others amazon.jp purchases of mine, I never, for example, buy one magazine alone, it would be insane: the magazine cost, say, 500JPY and then I'd pay up 3300JPY of shipping cost ^^;;;;;;

That said, I'm talking about my own experience about it: I always put as "few shipment as possible" and no matter how far each item is listed (one item is available today and another bought together won't be released until 3 months later), they always send the items as soon as they are available.
I hope it will be the same for you.
Anyway, everything will appear clearly in your account, and you should see that the shipment will be dispatched in several shipments, with different deliveries estimations.

I just checked my account: it's put on "Group my items into as few shipments as possible" and it's divided on 5 different shipments(the 5 items listed above), with each different deliveries estimate.
I'll pay around 4900JPY for all 5 of them ^^

Ever since Amazon Japan raised their prices for America, I like to order through HMV Japan. There are pros and cons to HMV's shipping though. The shipping costs are an "estimate" since they base the actual shipment costs on weight. So orders for light items like DVDs can be cheaper than Amazon, but box sets can be a killer (Amazon Japan is a better deal because of this).

I ordered the previous Tsubasa and xxxHolic Limiteds through HMV and saved over Amazon since they don't weigh that much. Also, with past shipment experience, HMV will save all your items and ship them together so I can wait until May for all four items to ship at once for an estimated shipping cost of 1,860 yen (though I suspect it will be around 2,400 yen). Still a big savings compared to Amazon Japan's 2,700 yen base + 1,200 yen (300 yen x4) = 3,900 yen shipping.

Point wise, although HMV has changed their point system, it's better than Amazon's. 1 HMV point equals 1 yen off. Right now, until the 27th (Japan time), for books they'll give 3 HMV points for every 100 yen spent (after shipment is complete), so you'll get 444 points (yen) off future orders.

Ah wait, I seem to have found it back now~
So CDJapan is an option too, though I've already decided to stick with Amazon.jp already in my case, I'm most used to them aha~
