Hello! My friend and I went to the Cardcaptor Sakura x Animate cafe in Tenjin, Fukuoka last April 30 and it was really awesome! It was so good and it was really worth the time and effort to go. I cannot recommend this cafe enough, especially for all the CCS fans!

The previous review post's cafe is actually the same cafe I went to, so I'll try to spare your eyes and cut down on the pictures, lol. (click on the pictures for the full size!)

We had reserved for the 12:00 slot so we got at Animate around 11:30 and looked around the shop while waiting. At 11:50, a staff member came out and told us all to get into two lines. They double checked the names on the tickets with the identification documents we have - in my case, I had my alien registration card with me. I was a little bit apprehensive though because I usually get comments that the photo on my ARC doesn't look like me. XD;;;

We were given a table number and then ushered into the cafe, and as another staff member tore off the stub on our tickets, they handed us an Animate paper bag containing the limited goods that came with the reservation: a mug and the cafe's official illustration in the size of an autograph board.

Front and back of the mug. I know it doesn't look like it, but it's bigger than the usual mugs we have.

There were also other limited goods on sale, and there were the manga volumes as well. I might have missed them, I'm not sure, but I wasn't able to spot the little green and pink SxS teddy bears. Hopefully when I manage to go catch the Osaka one, I can finally find them!

We were shown to our seats, and after placing our orders, we squealed about everything inside the cafe: the Clow card menu book and the table, posters of the chibi cafe versions of our main characters, figures of Suppi and Kero, a lifesize model of the Sakura wand (personally I think it's a little bigger), and various CCS manga illustrations (these ones prohibited picture-taking, but then again we already had billions of copies of these XD). My personal highlights were the Clow card photo booth and the magic circle, though it had a flaw: it was a bit short, so unless you want the ray of sun at the top of the card to cover your face, you'll either have to stoop down or pose in such a way that your face won't be covered. I did the first option even though it was a bit uncomfortable.

(Because I blanked out and was starstruck with the place, I wasn't too creative with my poses. Haha XD)

(Too many pictures zomg, so sorry! I did try to restrain myself! >.<)

When we got inside the cafe, we were handed a slip of paper with a list of the limited goods. If we were to purchase stuff on the list, they would cross those items out (I think it's to prevent some people from hoarding all of them?) Some stuff I got were the clearfile, the rubber straps A and B sets, the Sakura circle earring case, and the 20th anniversary artbook. I was particularly happy to get the last one because all the bookstores near me had run out of them and I couldn't get my hands on a copy elsewhere.

(These are the coasters that came with every menu item you order. I actually got four, but the fourth one is a duplicate of the Sakura coaster and I wasn't able to request for a swap until it was too late.)

After taking pictures, we went back to our table and waited for our food. I ordered the Syaoran-themed cold noodles, Sakura drink (the Syaoran's feelings for Sakura melon soda later on) and the Zettai Daijoubu clow card parfait, while my friend ordered the Suppi/Kero egg and salad set plus the Yukito drink. For each menu item you get a coaster.

I love cold noodles, so this was really good!

We had a little debate on whether the Kero / Suppi heads could be eaten, but finally decided they were inedible. Not entirely sure, though. XD

(The wing is purely cotton candy, and the Clow Card is a biscuit, so yes, they're completely edible XD)

Unfortunately I wasn't able to order the Happy Birthday Sakura cake roll because I forgot it was a limited menu. :/

You can order over and over again within the cafe time limit. Our entire stay in the cafe was an hour and a half, and when we were done we paid for the food we ate at the counter near the exit.

And that's my experience in the Cardcaptor Sakura cafe! Hopefully I will be able to go to the Osaka leg in the summer.
Just a reminder that if you want to go to the CCS cafe, you have to make a prior reservation via eplus (past post by our [livejournal.com profile] cutesherry here). If you have any questions regarding the reservation process, I can try and answer them the best I can. :)

Mods, please let me know if I made a mistake in tagging and I'll fix them!

Omg ! Thanks for sharing this information 😍 ... Don't apologize about the pictures , it is never enough when it comes to Sakura items plus the photos help to feel the vibe of being there , thanks for sharing ! ... My favorite part beside the food and items it is definitely the Clow Card Photo Booth it's awesome ! I love your second photo there :) ... Fingers crossed by the time I get there they still have plenty of items to buy because I'm arriving just on time for the last day of the cafe event 😱 ... By the way , do you have any time limit to be there and also any restriction that is worth mentioned , I will be taking lots of pictures like you and probably vide recording too 😁 lol

Thanks for the review!

I'm curious, how did you go about buying the tickets? I'll be in Japan in a few weeks, and I looked at the website, but it seems like I'd have to pick up the tickets at a conbini. Do you think it's ok to just buy them once I get there, about a week before I'll be going to the restaurant? I'm guessing I could use a Loppi machine or something at Lawson.

Or can you buy them from abroad several weeks in advance and then pick up the tickets later at the conbini?

I'd love any advice, the eplus website was a little too complicated for me :/

Thanks! All that info is super helpful :) I'm so glad they have the cafe in two locations at once. I was bumming when I saw it was in Fukuoka but then I realized there was also a cafe in Ikebukuro, right when I'll be in Tokyo :D So excited!

OH! I'm glad you were able to go! Your pictures are lovely!

Ahhh, I managed to go to the Ikebukuro one April 11th and it's interesting noting a few differences. Ikebukuro didn't have the Suppi statue; so cute!!

(And it's strange, I also didn't see the teddy bears, as I was hoping. I wished they had them too. I wonder why. :O)

Thank you for sharing!
