CCS 20th anniversary edition ARTBOOK

Nakayoshi website was updated, they just posted a new entry with more information about the artbook, and also the cover:

And so, all we know so far is:

-Release date: March 24th
-Price: 3600jpy (without tax)
-The design of the artbook will be the same as the 2015 edition of the manga, so that when you put them together they will look like a set.
-There will be a bit more than 100 illustrations all chosen by CLAMP
-There will be new comments about each artwork and Clamp's new insight of their artworks after so many years
-A big poster of 70cm x 100cm with the chronology of CCS will be included with the artbook. No idea how the end product is supposed to be?
-There is also going to be a "Glitter foil clear case" is (キラキラ箔押しクリアケース), literally a transparent plastic case with glitters ^^; And that certainly reminded me of the limited edition of volume 09 of CCS, which came in a transparent sleeve with an illustration of Sakura on it. The sleeve contained both the manga and the 12 postcards that came as a bonus. In this case, it will contain the artbook and the poster.


Also, they confirmed that there is going to be a new manga of Card Captor Sakura:

It is not determiined yet when the chapter will be released. And they are asking us to be patient and wait for them to post more information about the upcoming manga.

Ah I'm a sucker for new illustrations! I wasn't going to get this since I have the originals but that cover illustration is so beautiful ; n;! Might reconsider buying

I've also owned the other artbooks for many years now, but still pre-ordered it since day one: they are quite 'old', in the sens that they are books printed 15 years ago or more, and while they are not bad of course, I'm still really curious to see a 2016 edition of the illustrations chosen by CLAMP, printed with the best resolution on smooth paper ^^ The technology in edition and printing has changed these past 15 years after all, I definitely expect them to release a wonderful artbook with perfect artworks that will blind my eyes! XD XD

What I am most curious about: the poster with the "chronology" of CCS, I really wonder what this will be like, I mean, they are not going to give us a 1m big huge piece of paper full of text, right...?

Ahah you open the book and just die from the pure beauty of HD/remastered versions of the illustrations 😵

I'm very curious about the poster too. It is very large being 70 x 100cm! It has to be full of images and their correlating milestones to be so big. I really hope its not covered in writing because I wouldn't be able to read a word >

We are talking about this artbook as if it was a new bluray release! XD

As for the poster, I think it is way too big to be full of text: since this is a 20th anniversary celebration release, this poster might be a chronology of illustrations? Like, from bottom to top, we would see how the art changed along the years? Or how Sakura developed? From sealing wand, to star wand to no want at all (and with syaoran next to her :D)?
Anyway, at this point, this poster is actually the biggest mystery of this new release hahaha~

Lol well they are old works being printed in a new book like dvds > bluray xD

I also thought maybe the illustrations themselves in chronological order to see progress and changes throughout the years :3 ah we still have awhile till its release so either they will keep it all tight-lipped till the last min or slowly release more previews like they are doing now (hoping the latter :p)
