Sakura nendoroid by GSC: preorder is coming up!

YES!!!! The moment we've been waiting for is actually coming for real after a very long wait, and real soon at that!!
Sakura Kinomoto nendoroid will be available for preorder on april 25th, the day after tomorrow!!!!!! :D

nb: you get the key (the big one next to Kero) if you preorder from Good Smile Company Online Shop, I don't know if you'll get it if you order from somewhere else. Something else: This photo of the key is actually of the coloring prototype, but the final version is planned to be a charm to attach to your keys, phone, bag or anything else.

All the pictures are about one and the same nendoroid: it's just that she's got many parts and accessories that are interchangeable and can be switched around at will (if you own others nendoroids, you can also play around making her wear parts and accessories from them), which allow to make her change poses and faces ^__^

I sincerely don't know how all this licensing thing goes, and if it's the whole series (CCS) GSC got the rights for or only one character (in this case Sakura).
But I believe it will come down to the usual: money. If they make a fortune out of selling Sakura, I don't see why they wouldn't continue making more!

Better preorder her right from the start if you can!
There will be a preordering war going on because many people worldwide have been awaiting this release...

I'm personally getting it from the GSC online shop, not only because of the bonus key given, but also because they don't make you pay for it until they actually ship it to you. Since I'm short on money right now, I really appreciate that system.

Well, the other thing is that they sell their own products at the "original price" (of course, it's their own releases...) while I'm afraid other online stores might ask for more...example: just a couple of weeks ago, I missed the preordering period of nendoroid Asuna: Titania version which was sold for ¥4,629 (US$45 + GSC applies a shipping charge of 2000JPY per order, regardless of destination, then that would ultimately make a grand total of ¥6629 = US$65) on GSC, so I went looking for her elsewhere, and I found her for US$82.79 at yesasia, which is a difference of 18USD, which is not nothing when you don't have money...


nb: Reading back what I wrote above, I feel like I'm advertising for the GSC shop even though I only made one preorder from them, said preorder I won't receive until August...I can't in good consciousness recommend something I didn't experience to the end...so the above are just my own personal plans, not something everyone should follow! I believe each person should decide who to trust when buying online.

Oh God I want thiiiiis. Not familiar with Nendoroids but I am seriously considering getting this.

Except I don't know
1. How much it is
2. If all those poses pertain to the same doll or are they separate,
3. The best way to order. I'm moving to Japan last week of June and I reaaaaaally want to have her with me and not have to leave her behind in my home country.

1.I don't know about other online stores, but I can give you information about this if your purchase it from Good Smile Company online store: it will be a a shipping charge of 2000JPY per order, regardless of destination; as for the nendoroid itself, it shall be more or less 4500JPY, to be confirmed tomorrow when it's officially on sale, but this is the usual price of nendoroids in general (usually between 4000jpy and 5000jpy, though some cost less and a few cost more).
Expect more or less, nendoroid+shipping, of 60-65usd (43-47eur), to be paid when it's shippable, meaning around september/october? But you have to preorder it first, and orders at GSC CAN'T be cancelled.
Another thing, I only made one preorder from them in february, said preorder I won't receive until August since it's the official release date of the nendoroid I preordered. I can't in good consciousness recommend something I didn't experience to the end...there is no reason why the actual creators of nendoroids official online store could go wrong, but I believe each person should decide who to trust when buying online.

2-All the parts seen in the photos are part of one and the same nendoroid. When you purchase it, you get everything. Exception: the big key in the photo with Kero is an exclusivity of GSC online store, I do not know if it will be made available elsewhere, we will have to search that!

3-Moving to Japan, how lucky of you!!! Well, nendoroids are little so she shouldn't be taking much places in your luggage haha~ But as for the best way to order, sincerely: no idea, especially if you're going to Japan: when she is released in autumn 2014, maybe you could simply buy her in stores? You might want to email GSC and ask them about it.(or facebook)

This is what happened to me with the Sakura Liccarize doll: since she won't be released until august 31th, I thought I didn't need to hurry, but now that the preordering period is finished, she is nowhere to be seen online! gah.... nendoroids.... and the work arounds to get them outside of Japan... I have 3 and then they announced that they wouldn't ship outside of Japan. But then I saw Hibiki from DS2 on HLJ and no where did it say: "For sale in Japan Only" so i've managed to get him. I got Eren (SnK) waiting for shipment. Let's hope I can get Sakura as well. *crosses fingers*

unless i'm too slow on the draw and miss out on the pre-ordering. Happens. A lot.

I know! How can they not see that they can make so much money from making more CCS Nendoroids?! Everyone is still so in love with the manga/anime after all these years.

Thanks for passing on the information about GSC's pre-order policy about not charging for the product until it ships/becomes available, too. I know AmiAmi's policy is that way but I just pre-ordered my Sakura from GSC this time, despite the price being slightly more. (I have to have the sealing wand charm!) I was looking everywhere on the website about the policy but I couldn't find it. I trust your word that they won't charge until it ships. =)

oohh!! I just went on amiami and indeed, it's really less expensive! (a whole 1000jpy!)
But I also preordered her already from GSC online store hahaha~ We all hope that there will be more of her in the future but at the moment, she is the one and only CCS nendoroid...so I also wanted the bonus wand!

Aah, there it is! How did I miss that? o.O I guess I was too excited pre-ordering to actually read through the whole page! XD Like you, I can't exactly afford to spend money needlessly right now so I'm glad they have this policy in place. Thank you for pointing it out for me!

And you're right about the sealing wand charm. It seems only obtainable if purchased directly from GSC. AmiAmi doesn't have the image of it or anything that says one will be included. So I'm fine with paying $10 more for the sealing wand charm. ANYTHING FOR YOU, SAKURA-CHAN.

Perhaps you should edit your post with links to the pre-orders will help those who are wondering where to get her, as well?

Same here, I'm short on money right now, so if I had to pay for her right this moment it would have been...difficult...to say the least ;_; But since I don't have to worry about it until september, I'm all good :D

And indeed, about the difference of price, it's not that big and we get an exclusive bonus from the manufacturers, furthermore, I already know that the shipping cost is a fixed 2000jpy with EMS, while in amiami or hobby search, I would have to wait and see how much they ask for depending on size/weight and the shipping method I choose ^^; BUT, with hobby search (and amiami too?), you can cancel your order, while with GSC you can't do that, so when you order with them you better have thought about it thoroughly hahaha~

All three online shops listed ship worldwide, though with some exceptions of course (there are always exceptions...). Right at this moment, you should be able to get Sakura-chan from any of them ^_^ I personally ordered her the very first day she was made available on GSC online store, right after waking up in the morning :D

But I do understand you with all the 'japan only' things, it happened to me a lot too, though I'm doing better now that I use the services of a proxy buyer, the problem of course, is paying the fees of said proxy ^^;
