Kinomoto Sakura nendoroid

A nendoroid (small figure made in chibi style) of CCS Kinomoto Sakura will be released in 2013, the exact time was not given though, so it could pretty well be on december 31th for all we know, so don't hold your breaths too soon!

If you look for it googling around, you will most definitely end up on this website: http://myfigurecollection.net/item/54791 , but the pictures you see are only a prototype made by Cool Drive Factory, while the nendoroid we are waiting for will be released by GSC (Good Smile Company) of which there is no preview at the moment.
I'm sure the final product by GSC will be beautiful, my only hope, SERIOUS hope, is that we won't see her AGAIN wearing that red outfit from the first opening of the anime, I have nothing against it, but I've seen it so many times along the years that I'm utterly tired of it >.<

OMG this better not be some kind of April Fool's thing because a Sakura Nendoroid (or even a Figma) is something I've been hoping for since I bought my first Nendoroid!

And I agree with you about her red Season 1 opening outfit. She's in that one ALL THE TIME. And the 3rd opening dress, as well. I really adore her 2nd opening outfit but it gets too overlooked, unfortunately. But I would think that the folks responsible for the prototype would be much more creative with what she wears, especially considering how vast her wardrobe is in the manga/anime. I would even settle for her kitty outfit that's also popular, although also overused. (CLAMP in 3D-land.)

Also, what's up with the old staff? She's mastered the Cards now & has her own magic!--Give her the star staff!

haha, this is not an april fool thing, this is authentic news ^_^ there is no way I would ever kid around about a nendoroid of CCS!!

*sigh* about the outfit thing, I'm a 100% with you, unfortunately, when they make nendoroid, they usually use the clothes the character is most known for or wear the most, diversity only comes when several nendoroids of the same character is released, which is very unlikely to be the case, this is a one time thing, so I am expecting that cursed red dress to come haunting us soon ;_; That said, nendoroids are so unbelievably cute, that we might like it anyway...?

Oh, don't get me wrong--I'm still going to pre-order her when official news is out, red outfit or not, because there is no way I am missing out on a Sakura Nendoroid! (I only have a few Hatsune Miku ones in my so-called collection at the moment.) I hope she comes with a little Kero-chan! And then hope that a Syaoran prototype will be planned to go with her!

Overall, I'm just relieved that GSC is picking up CLAMP characters after all of this time! A Kobato one would be adorable, too! And who knows--Maybe this Sakura is the first of many variations! Look at all of the different Mikus they've made so far, & I'm sure they're not going to stop anytime soon.

And there is indeed quite a number of Miku nendoroid, my fav is the Sakura edition, SO adorable! (http://www.goodsmile.info/product/en/3655/Nendoroid+Sakura+Miku.html)

The worrisome thing is the release date...I've seen their planning (http://www.goodsmile.info/archive/en/product/all/all/all/all/all/all/1.html) and there is no trace of her up to october...that said, more figures will be added as time passes so I'm not despairing just yet to see her before that!

I love all of the Miku variations that they have, especially the snow & Sakura editions! I don't have the Sakura edition yet but finances aren't well enough to permit me to get one at the moment.

And if they make Sakura, they MUST make a Syaoran too! IT'S LIKE A RULE.

I'm sure Nendoroid bloggers will hear word about Sakura before there are any official news on GSC's website. I've seen some blogs that have shown prototypes, or showcasing new or upcoming Nendoroids at shows/exhibits, so maybe after they get the thumbs up, we'll start to see some pictures of her!

I would love a Syaoran one(much more than Sakura), but male nendoroid are surprisingly scarce D:

My one hope about Sakura final appearance, would be if Clamp has a hand in it: would they, for example, draw a new illustration of her specially to be made into the nendoroid? But I really don't think the original author has that much of a say in the nendoroids adapted from their works...?

In the end, we can only wait and see!

Was there an announcement made about this anywhere? The figure shown was released two years ago and is just a resin kit that you have to paint and put together yourself, not an actual official Nendoroid.

As you can see, the announcement was made in december 2012, at the same event in which they announced which will be the nendoroid nº300; if I'm not mistaken Sakura was chosen on popular demand/vote in a sort of 'suggestion/request event' for the 10th anniversary of GSC.

Although, as I already mentioned, the figure you linked to originally here is real and not a prototype, and was made two years ago (obviously before the December 2012 announcement). It's a resin kit. You can go out and buy it. :D It would be interesting if they did decide to use that design for the actual Nendoroid though. I agree; I would rather see her in something different also other than her 1st opening dress, but I think I'd be overjoyed either way to have one. There really haven't been any new Sakura figures lately. :(

I'd kill to have Nendoroids of Sakura and Syaoran in their battle costumes from the second movie. :3

haha, sorry, I only meant to put 2 or 3 links but when I started I couldn't stop and just started adding more and more...in the end, when I saw the long list I hesitated in cutting it off, but thought afterward it wasn't so bad after all and could be of use for the other people who pass by here and would like to check them out.

And yes, I do know this is a garage kit and can be bought, I read all the posts in this page and saw all the photos too ;) Sorry if I used the word "prototype", it's indeed misleading, I suppose that it's in cases like this you realize english is not my first language ahaha~ By saying 'prototype' I just meant a version of a Sakura nendoroid prior to the one we are waiting for, but it's right that it's not the true meaning of the word itself, which would be a trial sample of the final product we are expecting itself.

I would also be very happy with anything they do (I will buy it either way :P ), but I still can't help but REALLY wish that 1st op dress won't be used *crossing fingers*

A Sakura from the 2nd movie would be really pretty ^__^
