Date: 2010-03-26 07:26 am (UTC)And so! It seems like Clamp weren't as evil as we originally thought they were....wait, no, they ARE evil....
*pondering*
Uhhm, and so, I personally believe it seems their workaholic characters do not allow them to just take a break doing nothing for months, so we got special chapters here and there, lucky us! :D

Date: 2010-03-27 09:59 am (UTC)I believe that 'period' of crazy trc/holic breaks that went on for months on and off is what made the fans so sensitive to the concept of 'breaks', especially if you consider that they are used to have their monthly/weekly releases of all the others series they follow normally, since most mangakas can't allow themselves the luxury to 'stop' their series and take the risk of being forgotten, the manga industry is an harsh world =___=
The 7 mangas that comes immediately to my mind which got hiatus were all by famous mangakas and could 'allow' themselves to do it: Nodame Cantabile, DGrayMan, Glass No Kamen, Cantarella, DNAngel, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu and Nana.
That said, while taking so many projects is interesting and most definitely praise worthy of them, having so many unfinished series is a lot less: at this right moment, they have 3 halted series (X for 7 years, Clover for 11 years and Lawful Drug for 4-5 years) and 1 dropped project (Legend of Chun Hyang, I liked that one, such a shame ;___;).
