Date: 2009-12-31 08:38 am (UTC)My hopes for 2010 is a more consistent release for HOLiC, renewal of Gohou Drug release, consistent Kobato. release with a good movement of plot (since Newtype is a crappy way to release it...14 pages once a month) and a good plotline for the Kobato. anime (since it's bound to stray from the manga). I also want the Angel Masters to appear in the anime or merchandise, but only so they can be in colour (I loooooove Touki and Ranshou!!!)!
As for 2009 (god...it doesn't seem so long ago that I did this for 2008...)
The obvious memorable moment for 2009 was the ending of Tsubasa. As it was the first CLAMP manga that I'd followed from start to finish in real time, it was a strange moment. But it was a wonderful journey. I do hope we see snippets of the gang in the future.
The second most memorable moment, believe it or not, was participating in the Fanbook. It was an amazing project, and everyone who gave birth to the idea and then brought it into realisation should be very, very proud. An amazing job by all the editors in particular, but having seen the contributions I can honestly say that I have never been prouder to be a CLAMP fan. I can only hope that CLAMP realise how much they are loved by their fans all over the world!
I also loved: Completing my TRC Deluxe Tankoban collection , the rerelease of Wish and the new covers, the Dark Horse omnibus of Clover (I already had the Tokyopop release, but the Dark Horse release was really nice...that WAS this year, right?), the Kobato. anime (so, so much! I love that anime! It's like an injection of sunshine into your life!), the release of Kobato. merchandise (like the figurine! Mine is being shipped at the moment!)...oh, and the introduction of sexy!Shopowner Watanuki wasn't a bad way to reboot HOLiC, in my opinion!
Oh, seeing

Date: 2009-12-31 10:57 am (UTC)I'm missing Tsubasa a lot, I wish we got to see their new journey or something OTL
And I'm not enjoying Kobato anime, I'm very disappointed with the way they're treating the story and the characters.

Date: 2009-12-31 01:27 pm (UTC)This year I will remember finding out about
I'll remember sitting in disbelief and brain breakage as we got closer and closer to the end of Tsubasa, and finally crying during the last chapter, because it took us a while to get here.
I'll remember working on my first cosplay outfit from scratch ever, for the Clamp anniversary book, and feeling silly for making it, but still doing it all the same.
And I look forward to an end for XXXholic, and Kobato. AND a continuation for Legal Drug and X.
Cheers to another awesome year ahead of us<3

Date: 2010-01-01 01:54 am (UTC)In 2009, I became a fan of the Kobato manga and then spent a large part of the year looking forward to the anime. I know a lot of fans dislike the adaptation, but I can't say I'm disappointed so far. I agree that the manga is still better, but I'm curious to see where the anime is going - how it will differ and what it might reveal about upcoming revelations in the manga (for instance, whether the explanation for what Kobato is will be the same in both, and, if so, whether it will be revealed earlier in the anime). So, I'm looking forward to that, and also seeing where the manga goes. And what's going on with xxxHolic, of course!
Happy New Year! I think 2009 was a great one for CLAMP, and hopefully 2010 will be too.
