[News] xxxHolic title?

Just a curious observation pointed out by 2ch: On Young Magazine's current issue page, xxxHolic is listed as xxxHOLiC・籠 (Rou = Cage) as if it were a new title. It is usually listed like the other series with a link to the series page, but it stands out as something different this time.

From what I can tell of today's issue, it looks like they're starting a new series/story arc/something along those lines. There's a four(?) year timeskip, and Yuuko's opening hitsuzen spiel gets repeated. (Also, Doumeki in a suit and four years older. Watanuki with some pretty amazing expressions. I'm pretty sure Doumeki brings food over to have it cooked on a regular basis -- there's a really funny "welcome home" exchange between him and Maru and Moro in the opening pages.)

I think xxxHolic is setting itself up for the long haul, personally.

that's what i figured. :) uh oh, will this new arc last another 6 years? haha. let's hope it's a short arc.

Is 'cage' romanized as 'sou'?
I guess I have to get used to writing xxxHOLiC・Sou?
...or could it be another reading of the word like xxxHOLiC・Kei turned out to be?

Rou is correct! That's the furigana they provided for it. Apparently you can also read it "hako," as in box.

I love HOLiC (and Watanuki-kun *huggles*!) so I can't complain at more story.

I guess that without TRC holding it back it'll be a bit more consistant, release wise.

ISN'T IT? Also also wtf it looked like HOLiC had a point and all, and it was about Wata NOT being a dumbass. This just makes me go "o_O what are they smoking?" a-and that's not my usual reaction to CLAMP. Did I just become a normal fan?

But now I'm also thinking we could see older!Himawari and Kohane eventually *_* which would be awesome.
