It's been another CLAMP-filled year. Here's a quick wrap-up and look-ahead with 4 quick questions for the community.

~2008 Wrap-up~

Manga stats:

Kobato reached Drop 11 and Volume 3.


Tsubasa reached Chapitre 208 and Volume 25.


xxxHolic reached Chapter 171 and Volume 13.

Question 1 ~ What was your most memorable manga moment this year?

Anime productions:

We finished off Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations early in the year.


xxxHOLiC ◆Kei aired over the spring.


Code Geass R2 entertained us over the summer.


Mouryou no Hako peeked in during the fall/winter.

Question 2 ~ Which was your favorite anime?

The goods:

CLAMP in 3-D Land finished its run of 8 sets.
CLAMP in CARDLAND finished the first chapter of the playing card game with series 5.
xxxHolic Kei finished its release on DVD and had a ton of cd dramas extras.
Code Geass re-released the first season on Blu-ray, and is releasing R2 on DVD and Blu-ray simultaneously...along with many CLAMP extras and a ton of other merchandise.

Question 3 ~ Which piece of CLAMP merchandise did you splurge on?

My favorite manga moment was the epic Syaoran=Watanuki reveal late this year.
My favorite anime this year was Definately Code Geass. Somehow, Mouryou interests me too.
Does cosplay count as merchandise? XD Seriously, I don;t have money to buy merchandise off the web :|

I'm looking forward to more TRC and Holic (my favorite CLAMP works so far)

I am so in in the fanbook. XD

1. Fave manga moment: All the prettiness of Sakura's clone etc. Syaoran's past. Some very sad moments included there ;_;
2. Fave anime: Tsubasa tokyo Revalations! I'm REALLY looking forward to the Tsubasa Shunraiki OADs <3
3. I splurged on...the manga, some of the Dvd's and some figures in between *itching to get her hands on most of the 3D-land figures*
4. I would absolutely love to be included in the fanbook! Sign me up ^^

1) Manga momen: when clone!S ate Fai's eye. total WTFH!? case they couldn't get enouph Angst!Abused!Fai.

2) Code Geass. hands up and down. I'm actually still addicted and watch the last episode randomly off my comp.

3) the nifty Code Geass LED box sets. they were so georgeous, and very much worth the 55$ consider'n everything that was shoved in there. even if the first batch didn't work.

4) OohOoohOooooh! *raises Hand* I'd love to contribute to the box! I don't know what I could possibly add since most people cring at my art/fics... but I'd really like to put something in the box since they Are my heroes. <3

ah, and thankYOU clampnow *hearts* you've given me so much of my much-needed clampgoods/news/anything+everything else -^^- I'm having high hopes for next year.

1 ~ Tsubasa/xxxholic.. Syaoran's past just killed me ::sniff:: and I kinda like how trc/holic are so intertwined at this point that unless you read both you're not getting the full story

2 ~ Geass R2... I couldn't wait for the next ep to be released, I was soooo hooked!

3 ~ Haven't gotten as many of the 3d land as I wanted (will have to rectify), tho I did splurge a bit on a bunch of clamp shitajiki, the Lulu figma, the Mutuality artbook, and some of the Geass fasteners (lol lots of cg)

4 ~ I'd love to! I haven't had much time to contribute before now, but it's never too late to start ^_^

Question 1 ~ What was your most memorable manga moment this year? Syaoran and Watanuki's connection to each other and to their parents. And Kobato crying for that yakuza guy.

Question 2 ~ Which was your favorite anime? Oh, HOLiC Kei was okay and the OAV was a nice surprise, but Code Geass really was good. I loved the way it ended. MnH is very pretty, but it seems like the sort of story thst will only make sense at the end (I could almost believe CLAMP WROTE it, too).

Question 3 ~ Which piece of CLAMP merchandise did you splurge on? All the manga released in English, the deluxe Tankobans of TRC and the tankobans of Kobato. Plus the limited editions of TRC for the OAV. I wish I had brought CLAMP in CARDLAND, but I'll make do with the Subaru my sister in law got me from my nephew for Christmas. I also brought the Code Geass artbooks (even if only the anime one has arrived-the CLAMP one is due Jan 5th) because OMGPRETTY! I also finished off my collection of Japanese CLAMP artbooks/memorials by buying the older releases like RG Veda, Wish, Chobits etc.

Next year I have to convince myself that buying the BluRay set of Cardcaptor Sakura is not a good idea since I a) don't have my own BluRay player yet b) don't speak Japanese so could do with an English subtitle track and c) OMG IT'S SO EXPENSIVE. I'm not sure if I will win this internal argument or not.

Question 4 ~ Would you be interested in helping and/or participating? I would be interested, but I'm not sure if I can commit to anything due to random work hours.

Here's to next year, which I am looking SO forward to for: KOBATO. ANIME! CLAMP in America book! NEW MANGA! Potential end of HOLiC and TRC! CLOVER RERELEASE (even if I already have the Tokyopop version)! More Gohou Drug? Please?

Q1.What was your most memorable manga moment this year?
Not really a moment, but the color splash of chibi!Tsubasa crew.

Q2.Which was your favorite anime?
Code Geass. I might marathon Mouryou no Hako sometime soon.

Q3.Which piece of CLAMP merchandise did you splurge on?
I just stared at the merchandise. But before the end of next year I will get my hands on the Mutuality Artbook. XD

Q4.Would you be interested in helping and/or participating?
This sounds fun, I'm in. I know J-Idol communities in LJ do this every year. We should ask how they did their fanbooks. ><

1. Uuahh. Im kind of bad at remembering what happened during this year. I remember being pretty surprised when Kurogane shed an arm there. I liked having the Watanuki connection explained, though.

2. Code Geass R2 was pretty good, but overall I was pretty impressed with the Tokyo arc.

3. CLAMP now easily makes up 1/2 of my manga shelf

4. I can give a tentative 'yes' on this. I might be able to pull out a fanart.

Yes for #4, I'd be interested in helping & participating.

I cannot, sadly, really answer any of the other questions has I've been unable to keep with with any CLAMP series or news much this year. Well, maybe #1: my most memorable moment was Watanuki standing up for himself in the latest chapters, resumed in chapter 160, page 12, where he states "As long as there are people who remember about me, I've come to think that I want to be here". It made me cheer for him, what with being a burst of light after such a long dark year for Tsubasa and XXX-Holic cast, if that makes sense.

Question 1 ~ What was your most memorable manga moment this year?
When CCS!Syaoran and Sakura were revealed to be parents of TRC!Syaron. It was fun explaining to other TRC fans at school and seeing their "wtf?" expressions. XD

Question 2 ~ Which was your favorite anime?
Tokyo Revelations and COde Geass!!! [If it wasn't for Tokyo Revelations, I would've given up on Tsubasa and missed out all the mindboggling!action happening at the end. Code Geass introduced me to the Gundam series...]

Question 3 ~ Which piece of CLAMP merchandise did you splurge on?
Uhm...I bought a Tsubasa Artbook.And the Code Geass DVDs (both R1 and R2. Will try to get Mutuality next year...

Question 4 ~ Would you be interested in helping and/or participating?

...god where has my year gone. oh yeah, to CLAMP.

Question One. It's really a toss up between Clone Sakura's death, and finding out Watanuki and Real Syaoran's backstory. (if the drama CD's count, then totally the stuff with Yuuko and Clow)

Question Two. I would have to say it was the Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations. I loved Code Geass season 1, but you could tell towards the end of R2 the rewrote it all and it just was really put together badly. I love CLAMP's designs, but the story fell out. Kei was alright, but the sadly the noodles just look odd animated. THIS Mouryou no Hako, I NEED TO CHECK IT OUT.

Question Three. I bought the English editions of the xxxHOLiC volumes that are out :D; I guess it doesn't really count, but I'd love to have Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations on actual DVD as opposed to downloaded. I would also love to own CLAMP's Code Geass book.

1.I'd have to say it was the whole Syaoran backstory that we got ^_^
2.Code Geass. Hands down. But the Tsubasa OVA was made of amazing too. I haven't seen MnH though >_<;;;;
3.Clamp in 3-d land. Looking at my collection and then realizing how much money I spent in total....ugh lol (but I love 'em anyway!)
Also - recently released manga (trc, kobato and holic) and the Clamp Code Geass artbook.
