Explanation, please

Sorry about this, but could someone please explain the whole Fai revelation thing to me? I don't understand it all and that whole chapter 160 LaLaLaLaLa spoiler doesn't help either.

I think at this point, we're all a little confused. We may just have to wait for more information via Clamp.

Also, I think it would be a little more considerate if you'd put that behind an LJ cut. While not a specific spoiler, it's still a little more than some of us may want to know.

the spoilers should be taken at face value since the source is a summary and the translations aren't complete.

anything you read on other boards, communities and such should not be taken as fact since ppl tend to fan-gush.

there is no Fay revelation other than what is has already been translated.

As far as I can tell (Input appreciated, I'm working this out myself so if I've missed something help).
The twin that's been gallivanting around with the gang is Yuui and will be referred to as such.

Fai and Yuui are born to a younger prince. However in that world twins bring bad luck.
This effect is amplified by the fact the twins have massive magic power (and possibly because they're from the royal family and identical)
Their father dies and their mother suicides
The twins bring bad luck to their country, famine, drought etc. However if they were to be killed the bad luck would be much much worse.
They are given the option: one of them must die (killed by the other?) or they will be imprisoned.
They choose to be imprisoned in a valley where their magic can not be used. Fai in the top of the tower, Yuui in the bottom.
A long time passes, eventually normal dead people start getting dropped into the valley rather than just criminals. It appears that the emperor has gone mad and is destroying his country (and possibly the droughts etc havent subsided).
Finally the emperor appears in the valley and kills himself, blaming the twins for what has happened.
More time passes and Fei Wang Reed appears to both twins and offers them the choice, One of them can get out. Fai chooses Yuui, Yuui also chooses Yuui (?). Fai falls from the tower and dies, Yuui can now leave and is picked up by Ashura, he names himself Fai.
Now comes the tricky bit >.>
Yuui puts one of Sakura's feathers in Fai's body so it wont rot. His wish is to revive Fai, or more accurately to be with him again, so he can also achieve this by dying. The ruins in Clow have the power to bring back Fai.
In return for FWR saving him he becomes FWR's 'game piece' (and has to kill Kurogane for him) in his campaign against Yuuko (while Kurogane was Yuuko's piece).

... or something.

That helps me a lot too! I'm way far behind, the last volume I found released in NZ was Volume 12!!! (Oy...)

Maybe you can help me with something? My friend and I are getting mixed answers to the reason behind Fai calling Kurogane by his full name after Volume 17. Some are saying it's to distance himself, others are saying it's accepting the change in their relationship and thus drawing closer. I'm inclined to think the latter, but your views would be great. Thanks!

Fay himself said to Yuuko later that he doesn't want to get any closer to Kurogane, and I think that answers your question.

It´s really confusing. Then I reread chapter 158, su-chan´s spoiler for 159 and senefen´s explanation and now it´s more clear, e.g. why Fye knew Shaoran is a clone or why Kuro is angry (saw FWR, Fye=chess piece).
But maybe someone can help me:

1. Why helped Yuuko Fye: a.)traveling - just because he wished it?
b.) possible return of his eye - because he´s a good person (just doing bad things or intend to do bad things)?

[Was Ashura-ou sealed because of Fye want to go on the journey and Ashura-ou want to prevent it or because of Ashura-ou´s wish? (I´m just waiting for future chapters.)]

2. I thought FWR wanted Kuro to take part in the journey, why has he become an intrusion?

3. "you are my move and until my wish come's true, until one more curse is revealed" (from su-chan´s spoiler)
Does this mean by the activation of the second curse ends Fye´s bond?

There is no spoiler for chapter 160. The latest spoiler is the one from su-chan, and that is for chapter 159 (released today). Spoiler for 160 -> probably next Saturday. ;-)

I think he said or at least implied, he started doing it as a way of thanking/accepting what Kurogane did for him, specifically by becoming 'E' (prey) when Fay became a vampire so he wouldnt have to drink anyone elses blood but also for everything else.

Yuuko can do little to interfere. The balance has to be maintained she can only nudge, Fai had a wish and paid the price. She had to grant it.

As above maybe? Because Mokona begged her to? Because she trusts that he's gotten close enough to everyone to not hurt them?

Yes probably, but it was Yuuko that ensured he ended up under Tomoyo's protection and so became her piece rather than his.

1 a) Just as I thought, too.

1 b) I´m confused because of the way Yuuko talked to Fye in Tokyo world and the sentence "Leaving a method to change back...you´re really kind..." But to be honest the whole conversation is cryptic. (Why should the possible "healing" from being a vampire be cruel?)

2. Yuuko said something like FWR killed Kuro´s mother etc. to ensure Kuro meet Tomoyo, which is able to sent him on this journey (chapter 133). Contrariwise was Tomoyo´s protection Yuuko´s move to keep Kuro away from FWR and become her chess piece? Could this be roughtly right?

I think Yuuko and Tomoyo are both working towards the same end. There's no doubt that Kurogane is loyal to Tomoyo and not Yuuko.
But it's possible that Yuuko and Tomoyo knew about each other and organised something together or at least had similar goals.
I suspect it is the same for FWR and Ashura-ou.

Clamp is deliberately cryptic and the fact that Japanese isnt our first language makes it even more so :P
