It is doubtful that it will win, but who knows...

Just wondering, do you know how common it is for a (rather obscure) anime to be nominated? I realise you just update, so no worries if you don't know. :D

if you look at the past winners, many of the featured film winners are somewhat obscure. the festival is a popular 'for animation' venue and is pretty open to anything worldwide. the past featured film winners have been from korea, china, japan...usa. i guess wallace and gromit is the favorite...the two from japan are ok and i've not heard about the other two. the panel of judge are in the industry or are actual animators so they may be looking for something different and unique.

Yay! Holic moooovie! Hope it wins, doubt it but hope. I though it was a really good movie and not just because I like thought it was good in its own right.

OMG, YAY!! That is BRILLIANT! I am so glad! For once my country does something great, woohoo!! I saw Renaissance, I know the Asterix and W&G isn't an anime for me, so I hope HOLiC has its chances! Though I think Renaissance will win, I really think it's brilliant it's selected <3 *dances*

I thought the xxxholic movie was beautifully made! I don't know what they are looking for in this award, but xxxholic is definitely very unique. I do hope it wins :)

Wow, that's a news for me. I should keep an eye on the festival then.

I think they tried to pick up anime from different styles.
I didn't even know the xxxholic movie had been released in France... /off to hunt it down
