[News] CLAMP's 2nd Blythe

Photobucket

CLAMP-NET updated with information about CLAMP's 2nd doll design for Blythe's 9th Anniversary exhibition and charity event. It's Watanuki!

A photobook titled "Blythe Manga Girls Inspiration" will feature photos of all 100 Blythe dolls exhibited and auctioned.

Cuuuuute *_*

Sooo, Watanuki is a manga girl now? Still, this bodes well for a Yuko-Blythe which IMO is the most sensible Clamp character to make into a Blythe. I also liked the suggestion of Su from Clover though.

Hmmmm Looks cute enough. Pity it's not commercially available or I'd be totally tempted to buy one. >_<
I wonder if Medicom considered making xxxHOLiC figures - they made some for series a lot less popular than Holic.

Quite a terrible vision. ç____ç I don't like the "new Watanuki" at all (he doesn't look neither misterious not fascinating to me, just sadly out of character), and seeing him in doll version doesn't make things better.....
Anyway, I agree with the previous comment, it's a pity there aren't any xxxHOLiC figures apart from Clamp in 3D Land ones and the chess pieces...

that looks really cool.
I'll be tempted to buy one too, but I dunno it looks a little girlish or something.

Not a Blythe, it was a Taeyang (Pullip's male counterpart). Sebastian did have a male body, but Ciel was a Dal (Taeyang's little SISTER) and they didn't bother changing it. XDDDD Reverse trap!

But yeah, Blythes are female by default.

awwww! why do Blythes gotta creep me out so much!? lol
but this is so cuute! :3

At least the doll is more covered up than its manga counterpart. (I wonder if it emits smoke like one of those German smoking men (http://ezinearticles.com/?German-Smoking-Men-Rauchermanner&id=3899636)?)

I wonder what colour are the rest of the eyes. 8DDDD Maybe they're made to match the clothes like in the early illustrations. 8D OMG chibi kiseru... DX Do want SO BADLY *fangirls*

[identity profile] housekishou.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, the default eyes are blue, green, pink and orange. 8D The orange set is the scariest if you ask me. XDDD

...Also, did they sand the boobs or what? *giggles like a schoolgirl*

squeee~! The Blythe sculpt really suits him, I think.
*is now all kinds of inspired*

Still a creepy doll, but at least Watanuki seems more suited to it than Sakura.

[identity profile] demented-koneko.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I find this doll to be substantially less terrifying than the Sakura one at least...

[identity profile] rekallthegreat.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Less creepy than the Sakura one. This one is almost... cute.

[identity profile] batty-angel.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Gyaaa! So cute! *___*

[identity profile] umamandy.livejournal.com 2010-06-23 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree with everyone else. This one isn't as scary as the Sakura one. But is Blythe crossdressing? XD

[identity profile] ciloangel.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
Haha! Didn't think of that. xP

(I like your icon. It's like mine!)

Hmm. I like this one lots more than Sakura!
